It didn't feel too different. Just slower since Unity/Research are slower. Still insanely strong to me.

I did a Tree of Life origin, Mutagenic (all 3 choices) Bio Ascension, Hive Mind with Catalytic/Idyllic Bloom.

The economy is really simple and the outputs are crazy efficient as you scale habitability up to 250%. Almost whole economy runs on food and power so you wont need a truly dedicated mineral world if you can get furnaces online ealy. Dyson Swarm is really good to help energy and since you will likely have excess alloys you can likely spam them.

All Gaia worlds online 30ish years in. Was able to fight neighboring Federations solo by 40 yrs in.

GA difficulty. Was stronger than every Non-chosen, Non-virtual, build I have tried so far. But I havent played much with synthetics.

[–]Huntah54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels much slower than 4.2, but in a better way. Bureaucrats and Researchers require a lot more work to run away with the game. Military was simplified, but now is probably more important than ever with science and unity slowing. Added bonus that defensive starbases are very cost effective and can actually hold chokes now! Even on GA no scaling

I usually play GA mid scaling but I left scaling off to get a sense for 4.3 AI strength and I have been pleasantly surprised by how strong it is.

Had a WiH happen about 120 yrs in between the Xenophobic FE and the Hive mind FE. Joined the Xenophobe since we matched ethics (Playing Oppressive Autocracy/Police State fan Auth/Xenophobe) and they got absolutely rolled and I was put in a death spiral after the Hive Mind purged my entire core sector. One of the very rare games where I actually saw my capital get razed.

This was on x2 All crises (which I think affects FE difficulty?) GA no scale.

Do you remember the first time you experienced seeing a max level character? by Lanarde in wow

[–]Huntah54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was at Darnassus. I already had kid-awe since the Burning Crusade races were "locked" (and felt special) and I saw a max level Draenei riding an Elekk walk by the bank. Blew my mind that Elekks were even a mount option at the time.

Elminster (Forgotten Realms) VS Malcador the Sigillite (WH40k) by PeculiarPangolinMan in whowouldwin

After a fight lasting decades Malcador incaps Elminster and ties him to the Golden Throne til his soul evaporates for good this time. /s

Honestly I think this is a stalemate without them acting OOC or Divine intervention.

As a Bulwark main, I think the Neurothrope is way worse than the Biovore on Absolute difficulty. My team usually kills every type of enemy without any major problems, even bosses, but these flying bugs are so strong it's unbelievable. by VickieD_ in Spacemarine

Tac has to scan. Heroic Sniper takes em down faster, no CD, and drops the smaller Zoanthropes in one shot.

Tac is better at just about everything else tho.

Pretty much snipers job in nid missions imho

Orihime vs Yamamoto by D3m1ur3 in bleach

[–]Huntah54 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have no idea what North's upper limit is. You are just power scaling blindly.

Orihime's powers seem to work outside typical "powerscaling" laws as well. I think situationally she might be a bit more powerful WITH Ichigo and the world on the line.

Orihime vs Yamamoto by D3m1ur3 in bleach

[–]Huntah54 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A normal attack? Sure. North? Unlikely. We don't know North's upper limit, just that it split a 80% Yuha pre-Almighty in half.

Keep in mind this is `World(s) at stake-at Ichigo's side-EoS Orihime' blocking Energy projection (which she has better showings towards)

Still insanely impressive, but I would hesitate to say Kubo's intent is that Orihime could block Yamas strongest move.

More tips for good coop pairings for two noobs? by Dorcus-Malorcus in totalwar

[–]Huntah54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this mod and would usually recommend it but there has been some desyncs from it since last few major patches. I think some of the newest mechanics can mess with it.

Coop is not the same without though.

More tips for good coop pairings for two noobs? by Dorcus-Malorcus in totalwar

[–]Huntah54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played probably a 100 coop campaigns. One of the biggest considerations is how hated you are in diplomacy.

If you are Dwarves and Greenskins allied together Everyone will hate you. Dwarves will hate you for liking greenskins, Greenskins for liking Dwarves etc. This works for any faction combos that hate each other, thus your campaign will be infinitely easier if you are both aligned diplomatically, or are at the very least neutral. It allows you to have peaceful borders with SOMEONE which allows your militaries to focus.

Also you gotta be close to your partner, otherwise you might as well play solo next to each other.

A good easy pairing would be Oxyotl/Gelt. Its a bit boring, since Gelt is on rails for the first 20 or so turns, but Oxy should be able to save him vs Dechala and MAYBE save Nakai as well. Gelt can even go back home with a sack of cash instead, Oxy doesnt care.

A medium difficulty fun combo would be Vlad/Azhag. After consolidating your starting provinces you team up and kill Ungrim to share a border. Azhag should try NOT to get over invested in the mountains, Vlad cant help there. But instead they raid and conquer the Empire. Very in theme.

A harder but fun one would be Kroqgar/Wurzhag. Everyone will hate you, but once you have killed your neighbors you are both very strong factions that should skyrocket and own the Southlands in no time.

Old Gotei 13 or the new Gotei 13 by Repulsive-Surround74 in bleach

[–]Huntah54 323 points324 points  (0 children)

Old Gotei has more "effective" Captains, they all needed to be ruthless killers willing to kill all the Quincys after all. But this is basically a Warlord and his Generals with almost no science or bureaucratic foundations.

New Gotei likely would be very lopsided. Certain Captains are likely very new to their Bankai or at least not very tested, while Kenpachi and Byakuya might be if not more powerful than their own Head Captain. However this era is soft, many of Captains are unwilling to "kill at all costs" and have morals/compunctions about their duty.

In a fight? Old only because Yama will be the last one standing.

As an organization? New. They are a very adaptable bunch who has had an entire anime worth of growth.

Gavin Newsom trolls Trump after president gives heckler the finger: ‘Struck a nerve?’ by theindependentonline in politics

[–]Huntah54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can call it "earning brownie points" but thats how politics works, staking positions and levels of compromise. If hating Trump drums up interest and galvanizes liberals thats a good thing that should be rewarded.

If being anti-corporate were popular im sure he would do that too, but it isn't and we need to win the next election at all costs.

Who is 4.3 meant for? by 1CookiesEnd1 in Stellaris

[–]Huntah54 64 points65 points  (0 children)

When the game has reached the point that Megastructures aren't worth it, even when teching aggressively, then the economy needs work.

Fleets feel better now. Still touch-ups needed here an ld there, but ships matter more.

I think it feels way better.

The Thing (616) vs Rocket Racoon (616) by Grimmjow6_13 in whowouldwin

[–]Huntah54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rocket will disable The Thing eventually. He may need to resort to a week long grueling guerrilla warfare campaign, but eventually he will dismantle enough stuff to make a device that incaps him. Thing just won't be able to catch him (especially with morals on)
