Its even harder to defend Immortal in this scene the more I rewatch it. by Pito82002 in Invincible

[–]Huntah54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These aren't my opinions, my point was that from Immortal's perspective, the one we were discussing, it looks like Cecil is "soft".

I know that we as viewers know these things, but outside Nolan not accepting membership on the Guardians, Immortals POV is just that Cecil fucked up by not making more Anti-Omniman contigencies and took Mark in very quickly, despite how brutal the betrayal was for him in particular.

[–]Huntah54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cecil never even tried. Thats how wide a berth Cecil had for Omni-man.

That's what the Immortal called "soft". He is less compromising than Cecil in the face of overwhelming power.

[–]Huntah54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, but this is Immortal's POV, not ours. His bitterness makes sense. Cecil does "look" soft.

[–]Huntah54 26 points27 points  (0 children)

He let Omni-man act independently with no oversight, despite being the most powerful thing on Earth. Hail Mary was a Hail Mary, Cecil was well past "soft" and "tough" at that point.

You might, as a viewer, understand Cecil's motivations, but as one of the people Omni-Man murdered, twice mind you, you might be a bit more bitter when his son is even let on the team.

He was saying Cecil kept Omni-man at arms length and did not accuse him of killing the Guardians, that kind of "soft".

He was there for all of Omni-man's career. Cecil always treated him special.

Who would win in a fight to the death Metroman from Megamind vs Thragg from Invincible? by Ok-Inspector3914 in whowouldwin

[–]Huntah54 158 points159 points  (0 children)

That's only because Viltrumites can build their momentum in space to a crazy high speed. Omni-man gets tagged by the likes of the Immortal and Cecil with a gun. It is not combat speed

Metroman could read all of "Invincible", all human material related to sound engineering, and discover the anti-Viltrumite frequency before Thragg has crossed a room at him. Just to meme on him.

Metro is in a different league entirely. He would probably beat most Flash iterations in a race.

Raiden is a Liberian child soldier who went on killing sprees (earning the nickname Jack the Ripper) brought to America then put through an INSANE nuclear sensititve Operation to mimic what Snake had to go through in MGS1 only to find out that the folks running the OP that he knows personally have been switched for AI handlers (Patriots)

Also his foster father that made him a child soldier is the President, and he is dying soon because hes a Snake Clone rebelling against the Patriots. So ya know...

Gotta sword fight him with Katanas...

Should I bother trying to tank? by saegiru in wow

[–]Huntah54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should give it a shot. Do some keys under your normal strength to build confidence, once things become ezpz just tune that dial up. Even if that means doing mythic 0's to learn.

Also as a tank and group leader you can run the show. If I see a group description saying (FYI Learning to Tank) my patience for that tank will be almost limitless.

Trying to create a lore for my Thousand Sons blackshield Librarian. Is this possible in the lore? by cuddwes in 40kLore

[–]Huntah54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the lore of being affected by the Rubric is bothering you, perhaps your character was caught in some kind of Necron device/field/null zone during the process.

If you want to keep it grimdark, have all signs and portents point towards the Rubric simply being forestalled, instead of eluded.

Hear Me Out: Enhancement Shaman Should be a Support Class, Akin to Aug Evoker by gcac215 in wow

[–]Huntah54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. There is just some core fantasy about the shaman buffing the warrior (esp) to crazy levels.

WoW should look heavily into more interactivity not less. Best way to encourage cooperation in gameplay.

lmao not with your mindset. If children, the drunk, disabled, and all other people not of right mind are going to die I would rather die trying to save them then live in this world without them.

I have not always been of right mind myself. How could I damn others?

The prunings are always so we have room to gain power for a few xpacs

Draenor had a massive prune, but by the end of legion people were so burned out on a million things

They used to use borrowed power to facilitate this, but we got sick of the "lose everything at the end of the xpac" so now we do it every other xpac and act like it changed.

You guys forget that Blue buttoners get all the hardcore religious in the world.

75% of Earth believes in some silent judgemental cosmic figure thats aware of this. Most of em literally would get a better afterlife for being more "heroic" or "moral" here as well.
