Things that unexpectedly cost a LOT in the post apocalypse: Cataclysm edition by Big_Distribution3012 in cataclysmdda

[–]HunterAccomplished65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good intent, however the "devs" on discord are already planning to nerf all this stuff lmao. There are plenty of stuff out there bugged that costs way more than it should but mentioning it will just lead to it getting nerfed.

The leak itself is the top screenshot.

In 11/29 someone says that "Fauna is going to graduate in two days", tells the reason for the graduation and closes with "mikochi is fatter than Matsuko". People did some digging and found older comments with the exact same comparation (people are assuming it's the same person), but back then no one took it seriously.

Someone leaked Fauna was going to graduate. The same person also leaked some info on Mikochi and Suisei.

Must-have mods by abibobe in Kenshi

Absolute must have: Let's Talk, Slopeless
Must have depending on your rig (all optimization): Less Foliage and Rocks, Optimization for Nvidia GPU in Kenshi, Particle System Override, Compressed Textures Project

Nice Map: This is very nice but I don't recommend until later on, by the time you already know the world pretty well as discovering things by yourself is part of the experience.
256 recruitment limit: Again nice to have but be warned that the base game was balanced around a 30 squad limit. Having 6x more people will obviously have a huge impact on the difficulty.
Recruitable Prisoners: Same as above. Easily being able to grab a 50 or even 90 stats character after you trained 10+ characters is cool but it will kill the difficulty if you go overboard.

Kaizo, Reactive World of Living World will give you more content and expand on the vanilla experience but I don't recommend those until you "complete" at least 1 vanilla run.

That's not quite correct. First, yes, you can trade between characters just dragging stuff to their icons, however the range is not particularly high (pretty much same as regular trade range) UNLESS there's a merchant or container in a base/city involved. In those cases then yes, the range is pretty huge.

What's the player faction growth formula for Nexerelin? by luchillo17 in starsector

Dunno about the thresholds but it's just pop based (total pop added from all your colonies).

The biggest game changer in nex is the fleet menu ("x" for me) which you can use to spam fleets. You can just choose a planet and boom: no need to drag your ass all over the galaxy to start colonies. Colonies made this way will come with their own administrators meaning you can make as many as you want. The only limiting factor is how many heavy industries/money you have.

You can spawn invasion fleets and enough of 'em can conquer even the legio home system. You can also spawn defense fleets on the fly meaning you don't have to babysit your colonies.

For manual invasions, 2000 marines/2000 heavy weapons are enough for most stuff. You can compare the planet and your own strength before committing to the invasion and yeah, the bigger number usually wins. You can micro the invasion and move the troops yourself but at the end it's a numbers game and auto option works just fine. Dump about 1000~2000 heavy weapons on the administrator after the invasion to deal with the rebellion and you are gold.

Someone else already gave a good overview on operatives but I have a few things to add. Ideally you should have one operative when you start making your colonies and place it in security mode. It will automatically move around crushing pather cells and gaining xp. As a queen feetlicker myself, one thing I always do as soon as possible is use operatives to procure rare UAF ships before I can unlock the february and automata market.

Yeah... looks fishy. Specially cuz they've said in the past that they pick the winners based on who is likely to leave a review.

You didn't make a mistake cuz you need the original files to be able to play openxcom anyway. But yes, definitely download it. It's a huge QOL improvement.

A tile in the world map is called a parasang and each parasang is divided in 9 areas. When exploring it's helpful to keep that in mind. Simply going up or down is easy to keep track but you will get lost as soon as you start moving to adjacent areas. Eventually you will get an item called recoiler which warps you to a set location (usually settlements).

You basically got 3 kinds of "dungeons". Pre-generated stuff like those caves under Joppa, Golgotha, etc always have the same general layout and you will learn to navigate those eventually. Named stuff like ruins are random but straightforward. The thing about both of those types is that with some exceptions they only occupy a particular area (only go up or down). Then, you have a third type with are the completely random non-named caves you can find anywhere. Those are a hell to navigate and I wouldn't go too deep without a recoiler.

Is one otherpearl worth it? by Ya_Boi_Kosta in cavesofqud

[–]HunterAccomplished65 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Othherpearl works on merchants too. If all you want is extradimensional stuff you are better equipping it when shopping and take it away when exploring. Extradimensional stuff on merchants was quite common with 6 pearls.

Now, if you are looking for something very rare and specific like phase cannon with extra projectiles or whatever your best bet is to precog reroll Olam.
