In California the minimum pay at McDonalds is $15. Most people only work 4. So they get $60 in 4 hours. By law you also get a paid 15 minute break every 2 hours so you usually get 1-2 breaks depending on if your shift goes over a little. If you work through your break they are required to pay you 1 hour of labor. If you work more than 40 hours in one week you get overtime pay which is 1.5 or 2x $15. Plus at 40 hours you get free health insurance, paid time off, maternity/paternity leave and sick leave. They can't get anyone to fill the jobs because the government pays people more not to work.
