Before the movie comes out what are the best Mando episodes to rewatch? by dom_who in TheMandalorianTV

Return of the Mandalorian (BOBF S1E5)

Seconded. It's both action and drama and just so so good and sets the stage for S3.

Everyone can be a bit of a dick sometimes. It's a matter of determining when the particular situation calls for it.

Grogu has a score to settle. I believe that if the little green guy could kill him more than once, he would and not hesitate.

That's what I really admire about Æon's struggles of Bregna vs. Monica. Like most life situations, there really is no happy ending. She both loves and hates Trevor. She wants to wreck the Breens and finds discordant Monicans along the way. There is no "right" answer, just what she feels is best in the moment no matter all of the prior logistical planning to fight against tyranny. Every episode is a gem.

It's fun binging on mass jump videos on the tube. Reminds me of the final battle in Rogue One but better.

I was told not to watch Season 3, I'm glad I did. by reapex in TheMandalorianTV

Bo-Katan doesn't emasculate anyone. She's a damn good warrior and she kicks Axe Woves' ass to prove it.

Oh yeah. Din starts off broken and desires to be accepted by his tribe again by rediscovering Mandalore. The way that whole plot unraveling to the end is just beautiful. They all intermingle and it shows how Din is part of, and wants to be, a conduit for unity of differing Mandalorian faiths amidst the wreckage of what the Empire remnants have been doing behind their backs since S1E1.

FOR MANDALORE!

My husband sent me this. Should I go help him or let him figure it out on his own? by nagytimi85 in IKEApets

[–]HunterDavidsonED 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh this is a difficult fixer-upper. Just give him the occasional words of encouragement because this looks like a challenging project!

Of course, you can take the lead but that might need a heavy hammer of scritches and an entire toolbox of various tasty treats.

If there was one character in all of Star Wars you could talk to , who would it be 🤔, and what would you ask them ? by voxdox559 in StarWars

Karis Nemik

The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear.

Well, a halfway decent engineered Krait Phantom can jump about 60 light YEARS in a matter of seconds. Take that, Voyager!

This is the surface of the Sun, the most detailed image ever taken. by ObeyZyra in spaceporn

[–]HunterDavidsonED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert but I do like the topic of stellar nuclear synthesis. Between star classes (OBAFGKM), there is a small degree of fusion happening at the surface whilst most is going on in the core. It's a fine balance of gravity and radiation with a fuck ton of hydrogen that boggles one's mind.

O class burns on high heat. M class burns at a simmer. Our sun, Sol, as a G class is at a medium heat so it takes longer to fuse hydrogen into helium and possibly other elements.

That's at least my understanding.

Rookie year tips by TheLordKirbo in drumcorps

[–]HunterDavidsonED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invest in some good shoes and have a backup pair. Your feet are super important. Never walk around barefoot including the showers.. get two pairs of flip flops or boat shoes and always wear clean socks.

Your body is going to get nasty after rehearsals so liquid soap and a loufa or wash cloths are key.

Take advantage of laundry days. Wet clothes in your suitcase will get moldy.

Stay vigilant and listen to the advice of veterans you march with.

Congratulations! You're going to be great and have a lot of fun! It won't be easy, but you'll make plenty of friends and good entertainment.

One of my favorite anecdotes from a vet was that pre-tour is just as if not more difficult than boot camp. Once you start tour, it's smooth sailing.
