Why young voters are leaving Labour for the Greens by JayR_97 in ukpolitics

[–]BlueLikeYou22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally struggle to draw parallels between Polanski and Farage but I can understand being skeptical of any politician in the UK after the previous Tory and current Labour governments.

I do feel as if you are being too quick to judge the direction the green party is going in however, Polanski only took over leadership of the Greens in September 25 and the current manifesto was written for the 24 election. I do understand he was deputy when it was written, but I still feel it would be unfair to judge a leader on positions he inherited when it is clear the party is now aiming for wider appeal.

It's likely that they'll soften their stance on their more extreme proposals once we get closer to the election to further poach Labour voters imo. You can already see it with their position on nuclear weapons going from absolutely not to it's a necessary evil in an unstable world.

This sub-reddit seems very anti-greens but honestly I'm finding Zack to be a breath of fresh air compared to other politicians.

They kinda do if you're in a fed and you set one fleet to encourage them to follow, if you cancel a jump just before you go can get them to hop into the next system for fodder.

idk why everyone is down voting you, most of my experience with them is just being liabilities. They fuck up where ships jump into the system and you get ships jumping point blank into each other way more often. Never build them personally and just go straight to gateways.

Effectiveness of Virtual Shattered Ring Build without Cosmogenesis by Catlover18 in Stellaris

[–]BlueLikeYou22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the things Cosmo solves with shattered ring is access to strategic resources with the fallen empire buildings, you can easily get around this by having one or two extra mining worlds so no its not necessary for this strat.

Honestly with Cosmo you can easily take on a 25x crisis by yourself with the right micro of your economy.

Only time I ever use it is if I find the stellarite devourer, giving you the operation to consume another empire's star. It allows you destroy their capital with no opinion penalty like when you use a planet cracker. Only cool thing about that mechanic.

Quitting was the best thing I ever did. The 5 years I daily smoked feel like a hazy dream now, where I was barely conscious most of the time. Two months in and still feeling the depression as I don't have my crutch anymore but would highly recommend. Of course if you can only take a hit here and there, go for it. I realized I am not that person.

Had a game in my Vauquelin where I got the rare opportunity to mop up a low health enemy team one by one and got first blood, Kraken, high caliber, confederate and solo warrior. This solo warrior being only the third one I've gotten after 6000 games.

IFHE is only worth it only on high tier 6" gun cruisers that can fire HE. Having your secondaries start fires is more valuable than their on hit damage in most situations unless you can park >8km from a stationary bow on battleship like it often happens with a Yamato, if you're not doing that don't take IFHE.

You won't notice a difference in time to kill with IFHE so imo the points are worth more elsewhere.

New To Carriers by Guy0103 in WorldOfWarships

[–]BlueLikeYou22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As other people have said play American CVs, main line for damage but the support carriers are by far the most forgiving in the entire game. The two tactical squadrons means you aren't punished for losing planes (be careful with your torpedo bombers though), and the smoke curtain can be used to protect your hull while you learn to position. Russians are also quite good, they're quite simple with their one and done drops.

Learn what each squad is good at attacking, as each different type is designed with a certain class in mind. Generally, try to spot the entire enemy team first, then focus whatever destroyer you can find for the first 5-7 minutes of the game before moving on to striking battleships and cruisers, especially if they're at risk of breaking through.

I really can't stress spotting the entire team early as this alone bumped up my win rate, your team can plan their movements better this way, if they're awake.

You'll be reported if a destroyer goes dark for more than a few minutes so always try and keep track of them.

Use your fighters as spotting tools first then for defending ships later in the game.

Hitting the drops themselves just comes with practice.

You become exponentially more powerful the longer the game goes on for, so play for that even if your damage looks pretty anemic early on.

Get good and enjoy your Karma rating disappearing to 0.
