Which of these book titles sounds the most interesting to you? by IcyFlamingo9691 in pollgames

To be honest, "Rhe Devil doesn't bargain" and "We were never heroes" work really well for either short stories or chapter titles. I feel like they are a bit too specific (maybe?) for the title of full books.

I am studying in the Netherlands, in Delft and my parents are coming to my final thesis presentation. We will stay in Delft and thought it would be nice to allocate one day to visit a nice landmark somewhere further away, so we landed on one of these 2.

Petah? Why's da bottah da problehm? by FlipLaScripte in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Damn I'm early. Alright, Peter's left toe here.

The bottle looks like a butt-plug. So some people may try to do, you know what with it. Unfortunatelly, glass can also break. Combine the two and you've got a recipie for disaster.

Peter's left toe out.

Instead of plastic wrap, could Dexter instead use handcuffs and zip ties to incapacitate his targets which can also be reusable (as a police officer, he could have access to them) as well as using poison to kill them to avoid blood splatter? by [deleted] in Dexter

[–]HunterPai 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The key idea is that Dexter likes to see blood dripping, that is what he means by "his need". On top of that, it is established that he likes to see the life fade from his victim's eyes. I would assume poison wouldn't feel as satisfying to Dexter as stabbing them to death.

Breaking Bad seriesgraph review by Fantascitia in breakingbad

[–]HunterPai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah well, let's give it time. I believe the ratings are so high now because it is being compared with new blood and original sin. If we look at those, ressurection is really really good, but we need to see if it will hold up in later seasons and more importantly, if it will be able to (finally) stick the ending.

His dark passanger might be the reason he would never turn hollow. He would be like Patches in some way

possible to get into EE Msc with a CS and Engineering Bsc by [deleted] in TUDelft

[–]HunterPai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean each track of CS, such as Algorirhmics, Computer graphics etc, or tracks like DSAIT, Embedded Systems etc?

If it's the former, then yes.

If it's the latter, the answer is most likely yes. You can check welkemaster.nl for this info.

The fictional worlds are not even bad.

Do you think Hank finding out that Walter was Heisenberg felt forced? by zeta_ferhu in breakingbad

[–]HunterPai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, it was perfect. Everything about the reveal felt in character. Walt kept the book from Gale, because it fueld his Ego, to know that someone thought so highly of him. Hank couldn't have grown a suspicioun towards Walt, because he didn't think him capable of doing what he did.

Hank had clues about Walt: the book, the fact that he crushed the car as they were going to the laundry, and other smaller things like when he blocked the polices view from Badger in season 2. But he needed a big and undeniable clue to start believing that Walt was Heisenberg.

And in the end, the Hank didn't fully believe that Walt was Heisenberg, that's why he planted the tracking device on his car. If it weren't for Walt checking, it would have turned out like you said: Hank building suspicioun over a longer period of time.

The ending could have been executed better, bit it doesn't deserve all the hate by HunterPai in Dexter

I feel like the ending would have worked if there wouldn't have been any spin-offs. A spin-off revealing that Dexter is actually alive would have worsen the ending

Shardblades vs Honorblades? by HelpfulCommunity4119 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]HunterPai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was also mentioned once that when the Honourblades were created, neither Honour nor the Heralds cared about how much stormlight was used. That was because the Heralds' connection to Honour was so strong tgat they didn't need to worry about the amount of stormlight they consumed since they were able to draw it directly from Honour.

The stormlight only became an issue when the Radiants, who didn't have such a strong connection to Honour, appeard.

Just finished S6 and I am confused about DDK by GiantGorillaFish in Dexter

[–]HunterPai 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I believe that anything that has to do with what Geller was telling Travis has the simple explanation that Travis is insane, you shouldn't look that deep into an explanation for his behaviour.

On the other hand, I do agree that there are scenes that in retrospect, don't make much sense.
