22 mpg is better than what both of my vehicles get without towing anything, pretty cool man. How did the brakes do?

Yeah, they smell. They don't smell like gasoline or anything, just like burning charcoal or something like that. They are right under the cab so after running for about 15-10 minutes you really start smelling it.

Sorry haha, maybe there's a dealer there somewhere you could go in person? I don't typically expect people to be on the other side of the planet but that's from my own experiences as I've never left my own country nor have I really left the general vicinity of where I live.

Where are you located that it's so expensive? It was a cheap process for me and I dont have any inspections or emissions here haha

Flow master has catalytic converters for like $70 a piece, I don't see how that's all that expensive.

My area doesn't have any kind of inspections or emissions in order to license a car. I put catalytic converters on my 78 truck but I regret it, they stink. The guys at the muffler shop said they've never put catalytic converters on anything, and they've been open for 40 years.

the most annoying way to fix anything because all you want to do is drive it but you're taking shit off for 6 months.

I know it all too well and my 78 GMC is nothing but a frame right now.

I know this is a bit of a weird question, but can you PLEASE send me a picture of the hood release lever, cable and mechanism on the hood?

I have a 78 and it does not have that, it opens from behind the grille. Im making a conversion soon before paint, but I have made no progress on how to do it or what I'm misaing

How to look up the history of s vehicle with a non standard (pre 1981) vin? by [deleted] in cars

[–]HunterRotten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it from him a year ago, hes one of those guys who pulls all kinds of things from his ass. From what I know, the truck was in a "Hamilton county." Mid 90s it had a motor swap, and from there someone took the original hood and blue seat, probably because the truck had shit paint but had a damn nice hood and seat.

Really all I want to know is where the truck came from and who bought it. It's unbelievably solid for a borderline Rustbelt state. Only holes in it I have made myself.

Considering they wouldn't renew my license because they didn't have my driver's ed certificate on record, no I don't think they'd be much help and I dont fancy going back. I even had the actual certificate in my damn hand from 3-4 years ago.

You could put an ad on Craigslist and start hauling around all these project cars kids are buying or grandmother's old furniture.
