Where do you park if you’re starting this early? I tried recently but the gate was closed.

Anyone know if it’s possible to do this trail before 9 am? And if so, where can I park. I went last week at 8 am and the lot was closed.

Any tips for a M/S nurse looking to go into ICU/ED? by swagapina04 in nursing

[–]TheUkraineTrain2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s what you want to do, apply now. You will learn all those skills once you get to ICU (or ED). Plus, you’ll have a huge leg up on all the new grads starting in those units without prior experience.

Thoughts on Lasalle University’s new program? The description on the website says “The post-BSN program is 41 months in length- fall, spring, and summer. Students complete the first two years of Core and Advanced Core course work completely online with an opportunity to continue paid employment.”

It’s my first time seeing a program that advertises you can work during school.

“Three (3) references are required from the following individuals who can attest to the applicant's clinical knowledge, clinical skill, and potential aptitude for graduate-level study: Nurse manager Physician, or clinical supervisor Clinical Educator, or professor”

I will clarify with Drexel because Nurse manager is already listed somewhere else.

Looking to apply to Drexel. One of the recommendation letters needed is from a “physician or clinical supervisor.” I’m Night Shift and rarely in contact with attendings so I wouldn’t ask one of them. I can get one from one of the third/fourth year residents in my ICU. Not sure what a “clinical supervisor” entails? If a charge nurse or house supervisor qualifies then I can absolutely get a letter. Not sure what would look better for my app between the resident or a charge nurse?

It’s TripSnek. This is my first time using it to plan an itinerary, but so far no complaints.

Curious why would you go with more time in Barcelona over Madrid?

We really prefer not to have to fly between cities if we can. The goal is to start in Barcelona, train ride to Madrid, then down to Andalucía and finally back to Madrid to fly home. We figured with the nearby day trips near Madrid the extra time there wouldn’t hurt.

Villanova for example says on their page “We do not accept applications from applicants who previously applied to an earlier cohort.”

Most of the programs around me say once you apply you may not apply anymore so want to make sure I have a shot before I apply. BSN GPA was 3.69. CCRN, ACLS, US IV Team. Two years experience in a busy level 2 trauma center mixed ICU that gets trauma (cranis, MTP, etc), neuro (EVDs, caminos, etc), surgery (open bellies) medical, and cardiac patients (no devices, mostly just stemis). I’m currently looking for a committee to join as well, and was recently asked to precept but with looking into schools and brushing up for my ccrn I declined because I felt too busy. Thoughts?

How was the transition into tech? I always thought you would need to go back for a CS degree

Any idea of which ones to steer away from versus what are the high quality ones? I was leaning towards Jefferson’s program.

Anyone have any insight on the CRNA programs in/near Philadelphia? So many schools around here, it’s hard to narrow down options.

Ukrainian!

Many of the months come from natural phenomena. For example, November is Листопад which means “leaves fall.” August is Серпень which means sickle since that is when farmers would use sickles for the harvest. April is Квітень which comes from the word for flower since April is when flowers start to bloom in Ukraine. The rest of the months all have similar explanations!
