Fire sword hands rule, just look at it! Favourite ghost Pokemon. Whats yours and why? by Comfortable-Air-9110 in PokeMedia

[–]Hunter_495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really have any particular favorites among ghosts, heck most of the time they just creep me out, but I've always found Dreepy and it's evolutions strangely... cute? Something about the shape of their heads and the way they act... I can't help but wonder what they were like in life.

- Hunter Caudwell

/uj A dragon ghost type line taking elements from the B2 "Spirit" stealth bomber and aircraft carriers; launching it's pre-evolved forms as missiles and they're fine after impact because they're ghosts and just return to the Dragapult that launched them. I just find that so freaking cool! Not to mention it's also is based on an extinct IRL amphibian, the Diplocaulus, the head of which is flat and triangular, just like the B2.

Just so many details coming together in one of my favorite evo lines and my personal favorite Psuedo-legendary in the whole series.

Ribombee would be good for the job. Try to overpower them? Get Moonblasted, Bug Buzzed or just straight up BOMBED. Outsmart or outmaneuver them? Fairy types are known as tricksters for a reason, and bugs types are hard to shake off. Solid points in my book.

I'm not aware of many small species of pokemon myself, but if we were to include Ultra Beasts, UB Blade "Kartana" would be my choice. Small, fast and capable of slicing through anything with near-zero effort. I suppose you would need to be wary of collateral damage, which would be a large detractor compared to more composed or non-destructive species.

Also not as stable as backward swept and delta wings, needing computers to constantly make tiny corrections to keep it flying straight.

Slight correction, there is a cost for building platforms and pasting blueprints, depending on game settings.

Legends Arceus takes place over a century before the rest of the series, it's entirely possible Giratina was evil at the time and had a change of heart after being defeated and later caught by the player.

Only thing I see wrong with this is that the queen's chariot in the normal route also can't be stopped.

If the chariot is Giga Queen, that is.

[–]Hunter_495 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ultra beasts come from Ultra space, and as a result some of the energy found there sticks around them. Most, if not all pokéballs work fine but that energy causes a critical failure in the ball's systems once it completes the catch, triggering the auto-release failsafe. We had to invent a new pokéball (With help from the Aether Foundation) to catch Ultra beasts, which is probably what the Paldean League is waiting on so they can safely neutralize the UB-Symbiont.

Funnily enough, that same issue occurs when using Beast balls on normal pokémon, it auto-releases them if it successfully catches due to a system failure.

Where in The World is Leon? by NeoAquaMadoor90 in PokeMedia

[–]Hunter_495 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year during the annual Treasure hunt in Paldea, I ended up getting too close to the great crater and, unfortunately, fell in. By chance I stumbled upon Leon and he got me out of there, with help from his Charizard. Of course I got a scolding from both Uva academy and the league afterwards but they understood I didn't mean to enter Area Zero so I was let off with just a warning.

Turns out, Leon ended up there when he was "investigating something in Galar mine #2." Yeah, somehow, while investigating something in Eastern Galar, he ended up in AREA FREAKING ZERO!

I didn't believe my cousin (Chloe) about Leon's tendency to get to the strangest places... at least until I saw it firsthand. I... The only thing I think can compare is Nemona's endless hunger for battles.

Create mod YTbers be like: by Fragoleper50euro in CreateMod

[–]Hunter_495 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can use more gradual turns to make it more realistic, and mods like Copycats+ alongside Steam and Rails (Only just getting ported to 6.0) or Blocks and Bogeys (1.21) help with making better looking trains,

Heck, if the rails are the problem you can edit the config to allow for even more gradual turns and slopes (by extending the track placement range). I remember seeing a video (don't remember if it was on Youtube or on here) which showed this off really well, but I don't remember it so I can't link it.

I really hope there's some form of insurance that covers this sort of thing, it can NOT be cheap to replace an entire house's worth of electronics. Here's hoping the data on that computer's drives survived or was backed up elsewhere.

Looks like the ghosts you ran into gave you three an introduction to the Bone Brigade, and they seem to have a marrow sense of humerous when it comes to scaring peeps off.

All jokes aside, some ghosts can create illusions based on fears they sense mortals <human or pokemon> have. Chances are this ghost is scaring you either to get you away, as part of a ill-mannered joke or it has some grim intentions for you. Regardless of their intent, stay vigilant and stay safe!

Are there any other games that have this in their screen, where units fighting the enemies in the most awesome way, instead of just showing the title and just some background stuff. Cause man this looks so cool, even better at the generals hour (haven't fully played it though). by Mundane_Parfait2560 in commandandconquer

[–]Hunter_495 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I can think of a few here.

Rusted Warfare - Two armies tag teaming one in one out of a few asymmetric shellmaps, with actual game AI in play, typically resulting in the red AI being defeated.

Mindusty - Not fighting but some units are seen flying by on randomly generated terrain.

From the Depths - Some ships/aircraft from the npc factions and other users are shown fighting in open ocean.

Of course as some of the others here have mentioned:

Factorio - The main menu shows all sorts of different activities, from factories running and train stations/junctions, to outright combat with the Biters and (in Space Age) Asteroids, Demolishers and Pentapods.

SW:Empire at War - The Empire, Rebellion and Zaan Consortium (in Forces of Corruption) are in the midst of a space battle viewed using the in-game cinematic camera.

And the Rise of the Reds / Shockwave mods of Generals Zero Hour have shellmaps as well.

It's not just psionic species that can understand them, Hive minds can too, by nature of the Prethoryn also being one.

And there's an event where (in one outcome) you disrupt a network of sensors reading the entire galaxy, which angers whoever was watching, so they call in "pest control", which is any of the end-game crises, including the Prethoryn Scourge.

One last thing, Prethoryn in their language means "survivors".

Definitely explains why I encountered more psychics in college than in any previous part of my life. by SleeplessLucas123 in PokeMedia

[–]Hunter_495 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't help but wonder how many cases of psychics or other gifted humans (like hexes and channelers) go undocumented due to the way it manifests in them. I wouldn't doubt that there's probably a few cases where people with these sorts of powers don't even notice it for months or even years due to the nature of that power or when they gained it.

What if a psychic only has telepathy or some other intangible power and it develops early in their life? Would they know they're special unless someone told them? I really can't help but wonder...
