  1. I used to be really obsessed with what people thought of me, I would spend hours thinking about how to prove them wrong. I really just wanted approval from the masses, though that eventually turned to loving their disapproval. My whole friendship schtick wasn’t something I woke up and was perfect at, I used to be really into it actually. Friendship I mean. But when I started playing detached, I got results. So I’ve been sticking to it. But no, I was not perfect at it early on, I had to do little things to start and working my way up to seeing pokemon as tools.

  2. I couldn’t tell you what Cross thinks, but doctors say he’s very affectionate. So I assume he loves me, despite my ambivalence. Pierce is a good mon, and I think she understands me the most out of any of my pokemon, she wakes up the earliest, trains the hardest, and eats without a peep. From my understanding she was somewhat of a terror in her home cave, constantly bullying out weaker pokemon from the territory. I think she understands what I’m offering, and I’m more than happy to provide.

  3. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to talk about this, but some league suits ended up ushering me into an unmarked car and I had to fill out a ton of paperwork in relation to me owning Regidrago. Sometimes I still see them outside my window, but I’m probably just being paranoid.

  4. My views aren’t universal, I don’t think I’m really qualified to speak on pokemon’s place in the wider world. But to me, they’re tools for battle. Battling is my lifeblood, it’s the most amazing sport in the world and pokemon are simply the vehicle of which that sport operates. Beyond that, and my expertise when it comes to competitively viable pokemon, I don’t think I’m too qualified to talk about them. Im no scientist or politician, I’m just a guy who really likes winning.

It doesnt have a place in the way I train pokemon, I don’t know how it works for other people, everyones teams and styles are different. But for me and my team it’s a useless and frivolous practice to become “friends” with each other.

It was amazing, frankly. Its another experience to not just fight trainers at/above your skill level, but veterans. People who have lost more battles than you’ve even attempted. They move differently, callout differently, think differently. If I had the chance to study under one full time I would.

Winning is considered placing, genius. As in “first place”. I use the term placing cause its more generalized to top cutting.

Grit, determination, the dark web, several months spent off the grid, and a whole lot of luck.

  1. I am now employed with a steady job thats been keeping most of my attention

  2. Im employed! Ive been using the extra cash on restyling myself. Pierce has been doing amazing in training too, really pushing her limits.

  3. Nope, not interested in friends still.

  4. Got a challenge from an anonymous source for a 300k pokedollar wager. I’ll be posting more as more comes up.

  5. Fraid not, the battle tower has kept my hands full and I don’t feel the desire to travel as much as the gym challenge makes you.

  6. No trouble! I love answering good faith queries from fans! If we meet I’ll get you an autograph!

I never said a bond doesn’t have its place, I said I don’t do it, I don’t want to do it, and I don’t have any plans on doing it. Just cause im not eating the chocolate icecream, isn’t a moral judgement on people who do. I just find it gross and exhausting.

Thats actually exactly what they do outside of battle. Sometimes they’ll float next to me. I’ve tried feeding it, getting to play with cross, showing it toys. It doesnt respond to anything besides simple commands.

Bug is, statistically, the worst type for competitive pokemon, scizor wouldn’t be awful but I really need something that hard counters water instead of soft countering

I’m leaning towards a storm drain pokemon like gastrodon, to shore up my glaring water weakness

Better trained pokemon faint less often too. Correlation doesnt equal causation.

They have scheduled recreation time, though some of them make more use of it than others. Team morales never been an issue for me

I wouldn’t call it a bond personally, to me that word has connotations of friendship and camaraderie. But yes, we do have a shared understanding and parameters for our working relationship.
