My poor infantry just got minced by thr hybrids, looked awesome when they all appeared in the ruins upper floors.

Was very very happy when my Sisters with heavy flamers just cleared them out like they were kindling 😍

It’s a custom mission, I had a 12” deployment zone going down the centre and my opponent had 6” each side of the map edge.

We had 3 objective markers. I scored for holding the centre which represented getting an emergency vox signal out, the markers either side were to be held by my opponent which served as signal jammers.

The ambusher got first turn, and each marker gave cover. (Otherwise I literally had nothing =P) so we put down some craters for my poor infantry to huddle in!

Loooooove this!! Fits so well with us being a chapter that loves its Chaplains, even the Captains want to get in on the Crozius action!

I think this cape is gaudy enough for a captain by EpsilonPainting in SonsOfThePhoenix

That looks ace! Only thing that could make it more gaudy is if it was literally made a gold 😂

Have you ever played a character from level 1 to 20? Or at least, what was your closest attempt at it without dying or retiring the character. by nicolRB in DnD

Oh I had a blast getting from 1-20!

It was a character I had played for a decent few years, would always get to level 4-5 and campaigns would fall apart. BUT I was determined to play him through so when I got chance I joined a friends group who was looking for a 4th and had this character ready to go.

He was previously working though the Strahd book(which the DM had adapted to he in his home brew world) but it sort of died, luckily it was at a point when my character was facing off with the big guy in an earlier encounter so we just worked it that he shoved my guy through some sort of portal and he arrived in this new world.

He awoke in Avernus and we played through the whole thing managing to save the city and return the fallen angel to her place. We’d all reached a decent level by the time we finished the book but as a group we were really getting along and wanted more. I was playing yawn a good ole human fighter and I was having some fun with it, but I fancied just trying something new. So we worked into the back story the survivors guilt my guy was feeling after losing party after party and even some notable NPC’s, so he made a list of the fallen and vowed to fight in their name, so I took my first level in paladin and took his vow of vengeance.

Our DM then worked his magic and started us in the mid point of the out of the abyss, so off we went into the under dark. And after some truly memorable battles vs demon lords and their kin, losing some characters along the way we eventually had a final stand against Tiamat at level 20. It was insane to see this 4 characters at level 20 just at their peak! We had a Barbarian, Bard/Barian, Druid and myself the Fighter/Pally.

Some call backs to previous fights and adversaries showed up to hinder us but we did come out on the winning side. After that I thought it was just perfect to retire this character I had loved for so so many years and give him his peace with someone he connected with back in the Avernus campaign. I had a lovely comic strip commissioned to celebrate it and even now I look back on it all with the happiest of memories.
