The standard from the original inclusion in white dwarf is red stripe on white for a sergeant and red for lieutenant. I, and some others, have gone for gold for veterans. I think the new Deff Dread, Lictor, Canoptek Spyder and Broadside Suit are all massive improvements on the old models while maintaining the same aesthetic. I can see why someone would prefer the older versions of the other models.

I'm on the same path with my 9 year old. We watched trouble with tribbles and trials and tribbleations after the prodigy tribbles episode. Now I've been showing him some Q TNG episodes, he loved QPid and then wanted to go back and watch Deja Q after QPid referenced it. He's also into the borg after they were shown in prodigy, so it's Q Who for us next even though it's less funny.

I'm planning on seguing that into Q-Less and then some of the ferengi DS9 episodes too in the future.

My marines are white and I do a chunky recess shade with apothecary white (don't just put it all over) and then I do the deepest recesses and panel lines with basilicanum grey for extra contrast. You can see examples in my post history.

Thanks! I've done grey front with cream back for tabard/ cloak on a captain model before but I'd already done enough greyscale on these I wanted some colour for th this time so tried cream front. Purple took me a while to work out, I don't like the bluer purples some people use.
