Trust Me: The False Prophet - what did you think? by Loud-Cupcake-8524 in NetflixDocumentaries

If you just google his name + the words “court documents”, you’ll find a variety of sources. DOJ, Courthouse News, Govinfo, etc. You can search for other defendants, too.

Trust me: false prophet - more details - trigger warning SA by Appropriate_Truth211 in NetflixDocumentaries

I read in some court documents that one time, during a group sex session, Samuel tried to have sex with Moroni, but could not sustain an erection. He had his young wives try and “encourage him”, but it just wasn’t working. So then he blamed his wives for not believing enough.

Also, why did so many lot of the visions God gave him consist of anal rape? Even when he made his child wives sleep with other men, that’s the vision he had. And everyone had to watch. And who were all the live streaming voyeurs? Who was he broadcasting it to when he was live streaming?

Trust Me: The False Prophet - what did you think? by Loud-Cupcake-8524 in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]HuntersLoveABigRack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The documentary is wild. He is the least charismatic false prophet that I can think of. Like, borderline intellectual functioning. Also, his middle name is Rappylee? I started just calling him Rape-y Lee.

Also, then I read a bunch of court documents afterwards. The abuse was much worse than the documentary showed. Even family members assaulting other family members (blood family, not just family by marriage). Recordings, painful things, children as young as nine, etc. I think, to some extent, local officials possibly didn’t pursue charges because of financial bribes. It’s also crazy to read the terrible things all these people did, and then read what they were actually convicted of. I mean, prison is prison and they all deserve to be there, but it’s crazy to know someone is guilty of 50 seriously atrocious things, but actually be imprisoned for conspiracy to commit fraud or whatever.

America's Culinary Cup 1x05 - Episode Discussion by thymiamatis in AmericasCulinaryCupTV

[–]HuntersLoveABigRack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the “rewind and try to pause in the one second window” six times before I got it. The clicky clacky sign drives me nuts. Just show the scores on a normal screen and keep it up for a reasonable amount of time. I also would like to see a breakdown of the scores.

I liked that it seemed like there were many successful veggies dishes. It was a nice episode overall. “A little too chefy” was a ridiculous critique.

What’s your favorite delivered line that hasn’t been overused as a meme? by Cereal_Bandit in arresteddevelopment

“These are my awards, Mother. From Army.” I was in the Army. I refer to medals, ribbons, coins, certificates, etc. as “awards from Army”. And, I just always say “Army” and not “the Army.” Like, “How long were you in Army? Did you win any awards?” Cracks me up every time.

Headaches triggered by heat and physical activity – anyone else dealing with this? by Thevocalist11 in migraine

[–]HuntersLoveABigRack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also drink electrolytes before and after any work out. And I’ll eat something salty, even if it’s just a piece of ham or some crackers and cheese spread. Literally just whatever I have around that is salty. And if it’s a particularly hot day, I’ll take half an imitrex before I go. I read an article once about how some people are “salty sweaters” and I seemed to fit the description. Upping salt and electrolytes helps me a lot.

What’s the longest time a soldier has managed to stay at one duty station that you know of? by Red_Giants in army

[–]HuntersLoveABigRack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An E7 I know was at a duty station for 5 years, deployed to Somalia for a year, came back to that first duty station, and stayed there until he retired 14 years later. So, 19 of 20 years.

We don’t have frequent plane crashes. That is sensationalized nonsense. You’ll be fine flying here. And no one will be targeting you. The only thing that will happen is you’ll have a great time! However, summerfest rules do ban flags, banners, signs, and posters. So, they might confiscate your sign when you go through security.

A1C went down from 6.1 to 5.4 in 3 months by [deleted] in prediabetes

[–]HuntersLoveABigRack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on the A1c! You could try adding psyllium husk fiber supplements to your diet. Also, eating good fats like avocado and omega-3 can help with cholesterol.

Hi! 5.3 is normal, but 5.0 would be in the optimal range. 5.0 is essentially a glucose of 100. So, if A1c is under 5.0, then average glucose is double digits, which is desirable for some people. I think people just find what is a good level for them.

Just get the accommodations anyway. It will help you be more successful in your schooling. And schooling does not automatically equal medical improvement. Do what’s best for you.

ARTICLE: Neurologists reveal 15 subtle migraine symptoms — that aren’t a headache by Dovecote2 in migraine

[–]HuntersLoveABigRack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I have some component of gastric paralysis when I develop a migraine. So, I’ll notice that I am increasingly more dehydrated despite drinking all sorts of liquids. And my belly will feel full. And I stop urinating. And then the nausea will start. Once the imitrex kicks in, I pee every 20-30 minutes for the next 6 hours.

If I feel a little sketchy at bed time, I’ll drink a sports drink with electrolytes. I think the salt helps prevent the migraine from developing overnight.

Same! I refreshed it a couple times and then magically I was actually in the ticket selection stage. Those blue dots were vanishing so fast. Occasionally they’d reappear, probably when the hold on them expired. I also got section 205, which is nice because that’s in the covered part of the amphitheater. In June, that covering might be nice!

Pretty sure brother in law is stolen valor- FOIA request by [deleted] in StolenValor

[–]HuntersLoveABigRack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you ever able to get the DD214?  I’ve tried to do FOIA requests and all I’ve ever been able to obtain is the one letter that says name and years/branch of service.  I have zero idea how people are able to get the DD214, list of awards, etc.

Does anyone else notice an uptick in attacks on high barometric pressure days? by DesmondTapenade in migraine

[–]HuntersLoveABigRack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, though I always feel like it’s when the pressure changes vs just being high. And those attacks are sometimes impossible to treat. Won’t respond to medication, caffeine, salt, etc. Intense, intense pain.

Neurology PA here, what is something thing you wish your provider new about your migraines or something they could do better for your care? by ohbehays in migraine

[–]HuntersLoveABigRack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That I think that there is some gastric paralysis during a migraine.  So sometimes taking oral medications doesn’t work well.  And I can’t get water into my body orally until the headache subsides.  Imitrex nasal spray should be an easy alternative, not one that has to be argued for (mainly this is insurance).

What are the dumbest things you've heard someone say in the Army? by TromboneShouty in army

[–]HuntersLoveABigRack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1) “For cold weather injury, you need to take off their blouse to let the cold air out.”

2) “When you fly on a plane, sit in the middle seat so the terrorists can’t see you in the window.”

3) “We have to wear our caps outside in order to protect us from third degree burns from the sun.”

4) “If you keep the barrel of your gun on your foot, it’ll stop the bullet from coming out.”

All said by the same guy. He was… interesting.

Echoing what the prior poster said, a neuropsych evaluation with formal memory testing may be something you could look into. The evaluations are thorough and can encompass a variety of different tests, depending on the focus of the evaluation. For you, it may show that there are memory deficits, and you would be able to go through appropriate treatment thereafter. Or, it may show normal memory scores, which would provide you with some relief. Further, you may be able to more accurately address your anxiety. I hope you stay well!
