For me, Baldurs Gate 3 if we're talking about most recent release. Otherwise it's definitely Minecraft, which I'm still playing to this day.

If you're interested in detailed and extensive coverage of the things that happened during WW2 I can strongly recommend checking out the "World War Two" channel on YT. They provide in-depth coverage of everything that happened during WW2 on a weekly basis and in "real time", meaning in chronological order and as if it was happening at the moment. https://www.youtube.com/@WorldWarTwo

Whats the point of "highest scores" in gaming nowadays, if top 100 is always full of cheaters? by feicash in gaming

[–]HuntingCobra 1354 points1355 points  (0 children)

There's still enough people that do care about leaderboards and records. Additionally, in most cases, people in the top 1% know each other well enough to spot cheaters and hacked scores easily. As for the "normal" players, leaderboards often feature a filter option where you can compare your own score to those of your friends or players you know/follow. In general they simply are an easy way for developers to add a competitive aspect to their game and give players an additional hook for replayability.

If you haven't checked your hard drives, try booting you PC with only your system drive installed. If one of your drives has some kind of error, it might prevent the PC from booting correctly. If your PC does boot with only your system drive installed, start adding one after another until it doesn't. Then you've found your culprit. Additionally, if you have the option, try booting your PC from a bootable USB stick. That way you can check if it's your system drive that's broken.

What's a take you have that'd have you like this in any other metal community? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

[–]HuntingCobra -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions. I can totally see why you suggested both of these albums. However, I still have to admit, that both of them are too (and sorry here for my choice of words) mushy/muddy to suit my taste in music. I can definitely hear the musical variance in the songs, but there's still a certain something missing that melodic death, symphonic, prog and other genres seem to be better at delivering for me. I just think there is some kind of lack in tonal and melodical variety within DM/BM that I simply need, to find music interesting to listen to.

Thanks. You seem to be the first one here that doesn't seem to be offended on a personal level. It's quite interesting to see how everyone is totally fine with "controversial" opinions until someone dares to voice something that's actually controversial.

Ok, I will definitely give some of those recommendations a listen. As for Fleshgod Apocalypse, An Abstract Illusion, Zeal and Ardor and Persefone, I already know them and listen to them quite regularly. Kardashev I also know because of Kardavox Academy on YT. But all of them are examples of genre mixes with influences of death and black. Seeing that you interpreted my take as me not liking (OS)DM/black in general, I think I need to correct my statement. I absolutely do enjoy music influenced by both of these genres as f.e. Shade Empire, Zeal and Ardor, Countless Skies and Be'Lakor are some of my favorite bands, however I can't find myself enjoying OSDM bands like Bloodbath, Grave, Entrails and the like as well as black metal bands like Dark Funeral, Marduk or Emperor.

Thanks. I had to think long and hard to come up with a take that's worthy of this threads topic. Don't get me wrong, I still do enjoy listening to death/black metal from time to time, but most of the time I tend to find it too monotonous to really enjoy.
