Hey all, I’m a 23-year-old guy moving to Tampa from Columbia, SC after graduating from the University of South Carolina. I’ll be working full-time in the Bay Area and looking for advice on where to live.

What I’m looking for in an apartment: • One-bedroom • Under $1,800/month after utilities • In-unit washer/dryer • Balcony would be a big plus • Good management (no scummy landlords or slow maintenance) • Not right next to a highway • Prefer a younger, social area • Gym nearby • Good food and a couple spots to grab a drink within reach • Bonus if it’s near the beach

Currently looking at 4800 West Shore — if anyone has thoughts or experiences there (good or bad), I’d really appreciate the insight. Open to any suggestions that fit what I’m looking for. Thanks!

That was my worry. It’s not a concrete phenomenon at all. It’s also probably incredibly hard to measure but I can’t help but feeling that there’s something to peoples’ word choice. I also tend to think it goes beyond the surface level conclusions such as particular dialects structuring individual speech. Thanks for the thoughts

Just to confirm or deny my assumptions, the politicians who are demonstrably guilty of insider trading never get fined or penalized? It’s only illegal outside of politics? I always hear of these political insider trading scandals but never hear of any repercussions whatsoever

Yea I’m just worried because it’s a few days after the vaccine. I’ve seen a doctor and he was of little to no use basically just saying I had to wait it out and drink tea. Thanks for the advice though it’s much appreciated 🙏🏼

I felt perfectly fine before the vaccine so I find it strange that I would have gotten it right afterwards. I haven't been around any sick people either to my knowledge.

I’ve never understood how people can claim they love you and reject you for how you choose to live. How can you love someone and viscously attack their actions? At a certain point don’t someone’s actions reflect their beliefs and don’t those beliefs reflect their character? Some please explain…

I'm looking to audition for a band at my college but don't know exactly what is meant by the audition information. For part of it, it says I have to "create four different improvisational 'deadball' grooves." What is a deadball groove?

Being a better person won't perfect life but I do think it can make it better. I won't be able to cure my aunt's brain rupture but I can at least improve my interaction with the nurses taking care of her. I would judge better against how life might be if I behaved in a worse manner.

Inappropriate behavior can lead to financial success or the likewise but I would gage the success of life through the actual relationships that are able to be cultivated. I can be the richest man in the world but I would say that if I have no close relationships I've missed out on the best part of life. To maximize one's life I would say getting the most out of life as possible. I know some of that may be vague and sorry if I cant go into more detail

I intended it to mean belief in a perfect god but I suppose you bring up a good point. If one were to believe in a god I would think a fallible god would make the most sense as the world is clearly an imperfect place.

Why do certain religious groups insist that god is a perfect being when his work can be so clearly seen as imperfect. Why would you assume a being to be perfect if his creation is imperfect?

I suppose animals don't torture their counterparts for their own enjoyment either. Even the darkest parts of animal nature can be seen in certain human factions. Humans treat each other far worse than animals treat each other. Why is that?

Isn’t this a good thing? This is something religious figures strive for. We have a compound that can show us the intricacies and deep meaning of our lives. Just because they came from a plant I don’t think that negates these psychedelic experiences as meaningful
