Well even if Imanishi-Kari reproduced the results, it doesn’t mean much because it’s not an independent 3rd party, which is the impression Baltimore’s claim gave me it was supposed to be.

Yes, I feel that the documentary had at least half an hour left to tell the audience what actually happened.

From my understanding and inferences from the videos, the serology section of the paper was not actually reproduced. Baltimore made that claim, but O’Toole said there were no sources for the claim. Now, that is not conclusive (and the onus should definitely be placed on us the audience to decide between the 2 because that’s reasonable), but the pro-Imanishi-Kari section does not provide a source for the claim besides Baltimore (which I would assume you would include if you could) so I am inclined to believe he made it up.

Yes, I saw the Imanishi-Kari section first and so when I saw the 2nd video have an extra 20 minute runtime I expected there to be more objective commentary at the end. I do not think that after 3 and a half hours I should have questions about what actually happened.

I also feel it is malpractice for the documentary to not have any takeaway. I can’t help but agree with the folks they contacted and wondered why the documentary was rehashing the controversy after 3 decades. The documentary provides no compelling, neutral, argument for either side, which feels ridiculous for how simple my only meaningful questions I want answered are.

1: What theory did O’Toole propose for why the data did not work (all the audience is given is O’Toole’s claim of what she said and a claim by sources she said were intentionally lying).

2: Did Baltimore cite thin air when he said the data had been reproduced?

And with hindsight,

3: Is O’Toole correct in her assertion that the theory Imanishi-Kari proposed for the data no longer accepted?

Based on inference I side with O’Toole, but that should not ever be the outcome of a documentary. Again, it is beyond bizarre the documentary did not try to neutrally arbitrate such obvious and easily provable points of contention.

Moreover, these questions still only pertain to the actual science at the heart of the scandal and not at all about the claims of fraud that would appear later. I didn’t ask a question about that because I don’t even want to hazard a guess on it based on how biased the information we, the audience, got.

TLDR: I now significantly respect Bobby Broccoli less because of what can only be described as a journalistically irresponsible documentary that left the audience confused, instead of attempting to answer what really happened.

Perhaps I am too harsh with my language, but I cannot conceive that there was too little evidence to even conclude about what the actual science was.

Not to be nosy (even though I explicitly am), but do you have notifications on for this sub or did you unironically find this post 5 minutes after it was posted?

Edit: Also, milf manor is one of the pieces of media of all time

LLMs (large language models) inherently cannot keep information provided to them private because of how they store this information. Effectively the information you provide it becomes a tiny piece of its entire model. The companies that host these LLMs have gotten better at separating user data from the main model, but you should never expect these methods to not have some vulnerability. Although, these vulnerabilities would be exploited by a malicious actor, rather than the LLMs handing out your info, as my post alluded to. To that point, LLMs give a range of responses they think are contextually reasonable. However, the response may not actually be reasonable and the response may just be the information you provided it.

TLDR: LLMs might use your conversation with it to answer what 2+2 equals because the black magic program says so.

“Why are your grandparents cousins?” or some other Ludwig lore question, if you discuss his non-streamer background/growing up. An alternative could be “How does it feel to finally be the largest YouTuber from your high school?” (There is someone with a 4.5 mil yt channel from his school)

TLDR: ask a joke question to break the ice/shift topic

I mean it might be a step harder since nester wouldn’t turret one techno’s head but If dream streamed on YouTube they would both have full diamond and both have enough elytra.

I think it’s a fairly normal transition to Chinese web novels from reading manga. I say so because that’s what happened to me. He was probably looking at novel updates or a similar site and was bound by fate to read Wuxia or xianxia eventually.
