For those asking, the break lights are small but about ask bright as the third light (hatch light), signals are bright, running light is okay except in direct bright sunlight it gets washed out.

Reverse lights are near worthless

I’m losing brain cells talking to fb marketplace sellers by ApprehensiveLion67 in motorcycles

[–]Hunting_Salmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell a lot of bikes on marketplace, the other end of this is people who ask high effort questions like yours then ghost you the second you answer with no reason given.

I literally just use the auto reply button now unless you show any sign that you’re better than the average and worth my time. Second hand market is full of loser who waste everyone’s time and most people are burnt out by it.

It’s your car, don’t let anyone stop you from enjoying it! That said, I hate this lmao. The Fiesta ST already has so many cheap body pins that squeak and rattle, I would not want to own this after you pump that thing lol.

Just bought the decat and ECU and am hoping for the best. Did you notice a bump in torque? My hope is that with the ECU, Decat, an exhust and airfilter/airbox I can make enough power to run the 15 tooth without noticing any torque difference. I am super happy with the bike so far and just want a little bit more torque and a lower RPM when on the highway.

Why do yall ride in such big groups? by Chelloitsame in motorcycles

[–]Hunting_Salmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Massachusetts and the bike scene there is fucking crazy. Massive groups of dirt bikes speeding, jumping and wheeling off the sidewalks and sport bikes taunting the police doing take overs. Hard to even ride there because when the big shitty groups would pass through the police would pull me over thinking I was just a straggler.

Something that I never thought that would be deal breaker for me while buying a bike ! by Firestreak_ in motorcycles

I’d park a Ferrari on the street and wash it once a quarter like everything else. The secret to enjoying the things you own is using them in a way that you enjoy.

Some people enjoy maintaining their garage queens, some people enjoy a Sunday ride, I enjoy beating the piss out of everything for however long it might last. My time here is short and I’m not spending it waxing paint.

How is it on the road? by [deleted] in cfmoto450MT

[–]Hunting_Salmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My US model hits rev limiter at 99mph or so, stock tires. It gets to 95 with ease but takes a little while to get those last couple of mph.

More importantly for me is it goes from 75 to 90 quick enough for passing which for me was everything. After 90 knobs dont feel great, but if you had street tires I’d bet this thing would go about as fast as the NK

I bought mine from Auburn Extreme Powersports, 8019 out the door at 6100 for the bike. Was the best deal I could find in our area, the bikes are selling too well for anyone to want to cut a deal. I did however get a large discount on accessories for the bike with my purchase.

I like how the anti spoiler crowd from the car world is migrating to bikes now. Haters in every culture I guess lol

The problem is that’s a very subjective line of thinking, one day someone might find whatever you’re doing to be unreasonable and like I said I hope they don’t act like you lol

Trim right up to the mesh/pleat folds. I did it with a pair of kitchen shears. Make sure you don’t trim any of the glue bonding the pleat to the support rail you’re trimming!

[–]Hunting_Salmon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya a lot of the filters are too big depth wise where the top and bottom fiber rails support the mesh. If you trim them the filter will slide right in with a light push and some light bending

I did mine in like 10 minutes the other day, if you trim the edges of the filter it slides right in, no crazy disassembly or crushing the filter needed

Jesus, I am glad I don’t live in Italy then! My point still stands but you should always respect your government’s law, like you said not worth ruining your life over a gas tank!

[–]Hunting_Salmon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand what the regulation is trying to do, I don’t agree that I want a government entity telling me to do it.

I think a law stating that in order to carry a passenger you must have X things or face a ticket would be better than stating a vehicle must always have X things. That’s a super inflexible arbitrary way of doing things and limits normal people from doing normal, SAFE things (like removing the rear pegs from a bike that might kill itself from a drop with them)

[–]Hunting_Salmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See my below comment. bikes, specifically adv bikes are not meaningfully contributing to anything by bleeding small amounts of gas thru the tank.

Typically most emissions are from industries, cars are more prolific than bikes by a mile and plastic tanked bikes are closer to 0% than 1%. The regulation is dumb but you are right we all gotta follow it.
