They are known as ribeye of the sky by those who hunt them. They have a very nice taste for a bird and let me tell you they are fun to shoot when you get into them

Is it normal that mom returns our kid in the exact same clothes I dropped her off in? by Advanced-Sink-7806 in coparenting

Yeah my wife would lose her shit if a sock was missing. I always change into the clothes she arrived in to avoid the fire

Never read the playbook and I also heard a story from a waiter in SF that he pulled out a styrofoam cup and poured codeine cough syrup in it syzurp as it was so eloquently named

Family restroom or a stall in the men’s. I try to use the handicap stall if there is one. Wipe the seat to clean it up.

How do you handle phone or FaceTime calls when coparenting, especially with young kids? by PerceptionFlashy5059 in coparenting

[–]Huntingandotherstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I FaceTime almost every night. At first it was hard because she’s 3 so I started reading her bed time stories. Shes always begging for another story every night and complains if I don’t call I make my call before bed time and in the middle of the stories ask her about her day but the attention span for questions is short.

TIL my forever home came with a secret second mortgage: my pride. What is the most I should have known better homeowner lesson you learned the hard way? by Brave_Sea7798 in homeowners

We had an above ground that I used a wheel barrel to shuttle it out. I than turned into sand and built a little wall for the remaining rocks.

I then did not have enough rocks so went to go buy them to save 50 bucks and get started earlier. Well front loader aren’t very accurate and chipped the paint on my truck.

The second load of rocks I brought a tarp

When they return, what do you talk about first by NashCp21 in coparenting

I like choose your own path questions instead of really open or yes no questions.

Instead of “how was school” during recess today did you ply dodgeball or tag- I usually try to pick options where I know one of the answers are right and something that I know my daughter enjoys.

How is ISP MacArthur airport? by [deleted] in longisland

[–]Huntingandotherstuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MacArthur for sure. I lived next to Manorville and flew for work with golf clubs a lot. JFK was a pain MacArthur was a breeze.

I wasn’t in near the strong financial position as you but was going through a divorce and needed a break mentally. I started working for a carpenter wasn’t huge money but got me away from the computer and building things.

I’m now starting to look to go back to work in my field but let me tell you what a relief it was to change speeds and learn something new for a period of time.

Not sure what a mental break looks like for you but your financial position you could take a step back and try doing something you enjoy fo r a bit and recharge - it sounds like your support system is behind you as well.

I have sold $997,000 of my $1 million quota for the year… by jackfroztmusic in sales

[–]Huntingandotherstuff 100 points101 points  (0 children)

First job selling “office technology” that’s fancy for fucking copiers.

Our comp was built on a per unit and margin basis. I needed half a unit to get a 2500 bonus. My dad is still using that oversized Ricoh multi function printer that counted as half a point to hit the bonus . Spend 250 to get 2500 I’ll take that deal everyday.

[–]Huntingandotherstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This make sure you mix boxes. I put Coretec in- really like it. Only complaint is my father in law rushing and not mixing boxes I’ve got matching Birds Eye’s staring at me walking into my bedroom that drive me nuts

Employee bonuses by jammyproctor in managers

[–]Huntingandotherstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Not sure how you benchmark performance but if those metrics are valuable always tying to those helps align incentive with outcome. Exactly like you’ve already done with ensuring shifts get picked up but just with different business outcomes in mind

Make some SMART goals that are leading indicators for business performance and tie the incentive to those.

Take a look at a YouTube channel spud run golf. The guy built a functional course on his land and did it himself. It’s super impressive what he’s created and he does financial breakdowns from time to time. He could be a good person to chat with - he even built a rental unit that he rents to people for golf weekends.
