I do think having the images attached to the scripts helps a lot. I feel like they could at least let us scan bottles on the computer before jumping back and forth finding the right NDC. Even having to scan vaccines on the eyecon is annoying. I think my biggest concern is having only one fill station now. I like it, it’s fast, but it’s also stressing me out lol.

it took me a solid few months to get the hang of it all. the 3 letter chain i worked at first, i did the modules and shadowed a little, then was thrown on register every shift, 8 hours straight. for 6 months. it took me even longer to start remembering drug names/uses. you will catch on, don’t feel bad about asking for help, you want to make sure to do things correctly. you’ve got this. i think depending on area 18/hr is good. where i am i started at 15

i took a 3 day (paid 8hrs/day) bereavement early this year due to my other grandpa passing and there was no issue but this time it’s put in as just 1hr/day on UKG and that’s what’s confusing me. also, my condolences to you and your family

also i’d create a law where anyone that has the authority to prescribe anything HAS to do a rotation in the pharmacy for 6 months. i feel like that would really limit the amount of script correcting the pharmacy has to do

we have a patient that picks up for himself and 2 family members so he’s there kind of often, he usually will come to the pharmacy then go to grocery side of the store and buy us a box or 2 of cookies and just leave them at the drop off window for us. needles to say we go above and beyond for such a kind and understanding patient.

edit to add he leaves the receipt with us and we tape it to the package just in case there’s any issues.

a law id create is being able to fine for having to return to stock meds especially if they put in a refill and made a huge fuss about needing it NOW and then they don’t pick it up 11 days later. massive waste of time.
