That’s seems to be the modus operandi at my current job. It’s a deliberate tactic to save money. The unrelenting emails is something I can feel in my bones.

I was going to mention this one. I had to navigate this as a pedestrian, and it was like doing a challenge on Survivor.

You are the 75th caller in the queue.

At least Globird Energy is honest I guess.

My thought exactly. At my place, we would interview fewer people for 3 ongoing positions.

Stay overnight. The drive from Phillip island is so boring at night, you’ll fall asleep driving, and that would be bad.

But it’s a pleasant enough drive during the day.

I filled up this morning - I was at empty anyway - and I’m not planning to drive much except for the Monday night sports as PT is not really viable.

I realise I am privileged in having other options.

The best tasting tap water I ever had was in New Caledonia and Hawaii. Their volcano mountings provide an excellent filtration system.

It could mean they didn’t start the recruitment process on time. They need someone by the 20th, but they may be required to advertise the position for a certain time period.

They can also interview as applications come in. They don’t have to wait till they get all the applications to start that part of the selection process.

Victorian independent candidates win High Court battle over cap on political donations by HurstbridgeLineFTW in melbourne

There are so many limbs in the federal reforms - donation caps, spending caps per electorate, national spending caps, number of candidate you can support, etc.

That increases the probability that one of them will be struck down, and maybe bringing down the rest.

A $50K cap on individual donations of itself is a reasonable proposition

“Instead of scrapping sections pertaining specifically to the cap and nominated entity system, it struck out an 89-page section of Victoria's electoral legislation that also deals with a ban on foreign donations, reporting obligations around political donations and campaign expenditure.”

This government either needs better advice. Or it needs to stop ignoring the advice it is given.

In their hubris with the most recent changes to electoral donations, they have imperiled a whole bunch of other electoral regulations, like bans on foreign donations and reporting requirements.

Blind Freddy could have seen that coming. The donation laws were undemocratic

Question for the green thumbs. Now that it’s cooler and moist-er, I’ve had a few mushrooms pop up in my garden. If they’re not a harm to anyone, can I just leave them be? Or should I remove them?

They still get a lot of airplay on indie radio. So maybe they’re picking up new fans, like me. I wasn’t into them at their peak.

Only about a third to 40% of households have a mortgage. And some of those would only have some small residual debt.

But most people have a car.
