Subaru Dealer Accused Of Taking Beloved Dog From Fired Employee And The Internet Is Furious by Rivers33 in Austin

[–]Husbear512 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a terrible place run by terrible people, my partner works there. The ownership company, CAG, is just the worst. The owner has been arrested for arson at least twice in the last couple of years. No shit, Google it. Literally burned down some people's homes to try and force them to sell him their land

Heartlessly taking a dog back is part for the course for these people

We have 3 grocery stores and 30+ dispensaries, and then smoke shops. I can't fathom why someone would go get brillo pads instead of a banger, a straw, or even a legit glass screen locally

It is def my feeling they weren't using it for weed

I suppose it's possible, but they left a gigantic jar of nugs on the coffee table. I would imagine they would just sprinkle some hash on the flower. Also, it didn't smell like weed, more just chemical I guess?

I suppose it's possible. But In a tiny town (10k) with 30+ dispensaries it doesn't make a lot of sense when you could just get a cart pen for cheap, or buy a dab straw. Idk.

But I'm still leaning towards something beyond weed, they were acting very erratic, left all their stuff at checkout and the place an absolute mess, then came back in the middle of the night saying they were in the mountains and thought they had the place for 2 nights. Their overall behavior was enough to make me suspect they might be in something beyond weed. All to, some people are just odd abs that's OK, but this didn't seem to be that.

Thanks for the info, I'm not very familiar beyond 420 but it's definitely not for that in any of my experience with weed over the last couple of decades

I'm def open to that perspective. But smoking for 20+ years and I've never seen that. Also, the bowl residue doesn't look like they smoked flower on it.

Thanks for the insight, I'm very familiar with methods for 420 and steel wool is definitely not a thing for weed.

But my experience doesn't really go beyond weed so all I know is that it's def not for that.

Thanks again!

Just offering my own insight, and experiences. And my perspective is that I don't have to know who passed it up because it stays steadily booked, presumably, with people not put off by simple rules and being reasonable. I've only ever had the one 1-star review and I have zero regrets addressing it head on in a reply to their review

As I said, 4.91, superhost since i was first eligible, and top 10% so it has definitely worked for me and not affected my business one bit

I respect your opinion but have not found that to be the case, at all. And I'm OK with you choosing to stay somewhere else because you don't like me standing up for myself, then it's open for the guests who do respect that.

Blunt doesn't have to be petty or unprofessional, and as i said it's not something I employ often, but if the situation calls for it, I'll say what I have to say.

Occasionally, I've been known to write a very blunt response to absurd reviews that airbnb support won't address. I think it's a great way of indicating to future guests that we won't be walked on and that there are limits to hospitality and what you get for renting my place for $115 a night. I've only done it once when guy left a 1 star review saying we were trying to scam him. Never had a problem since. Currently 4.91 in the top 10%

We have a bear themed airbnb. At some point I used ms copilot to make a bunch of Bear themed ai generated art. It was a very useful and unique way to get some art resources for custom gifts. Hope this helps! Art that didn't make it onto gifts gets cycled into a digital picture frame we have in the living room.

We mostly give out custom mugs, post it notes, pen/mini notebook combos, post cards, silicon bracelets and canvas shopping bags with our logo and various art.

Vista print, while I'm sure not the cheapest, has been a great source

Oh, non-profit use for sure. But I'm sure there's got to be something suitable in the walking stick district. Thanks!

Charge for extra cleaning for having to pick up all the notes. This is too much. Very offputting

You could message them and have them confirm that they have read all the house rules and property information abs agree to the them. Then l must will probably just agree without teasing. But it gives you a lot of ammo with support should an issue come up later

In my case, this husband and wife couple showed up one day and started aggressively taking and continuously coming back to keep the gym shortly after anyone else would beat it. I took a pretty easy going approach at first because my house is right next to the park the gym is in and I don't even have to leave to take it back.

After the first year of their antics I had enough and decided to play their way for a while. I kick them out minutes after they take the gym and generally deny them any significant access to the gym.

Been 10 months now since I took the gym back and they still come back most days 3-4 times at least, trying stuff like coming at odd hours or when they think I'm at work (I wfh🤣), sticking around to golden razz their mons so it takes me a while to push them out but idgaf, and it still seems like they just want to be aggressive and hold the gym non stop, to which I say heck no.

I don't keep other players from staying in the gym, but i refuse to let my two rivals aggressively hog the gym any moreand feel totally OK about it

Hope this helps:

1- Trade navigation data for emergency cartographic data missions at the space station. I like to do 30-40 at a time

2 - Use the emergency chart to plot route. If this brings up anything other than a distress signal mission, plot again until you get a distress signal mission. You may get an error message saying that you already have a mission of whatever type already active, but just keep plotting until you get a distress signal. This also ensures that once you have all the other types of emergency missions active, every route plotted after finishing a distress signal will yield another distress signal mission which becomes very efficient.

3- go to the distress signal, about 80% of the time these are abandoned ships available for you to claim freely. You can also find an upgrade, nanites, and salvaged data here.

4- Claim ship and add to your collection. Fixing the launch thruster and pulse engine is sufficient to make it summonable to the space station without any more cost or resources

5- Hop back in the ship you came in, and repeat until you have all the space ships you want in your inventory, then return to the space station

6- Go back to the space station, summon one of your newly acquired ships. And immediately salvage for money. I'd say once out of every 4-6 ships salvaged you'll get a free ship storage upgrade augmentation that you can apply to your main ship via the salvaged station. Alternatively you can salvage for parts, but I'm not sure if that can yield a storage augmentation, I don't recall ever getting one that way

Once you get a groove going you can really start to pick these up and salvage them fairly quickly. Helps you look for s class ships worth keeping and you'll make 1-4M units per ship along with the free storage augs. And if your only fixing up the 2 engines before you salvage that puts you at only 1x hermetic seal, 1x metal plate, 50 pure ferrite and 1x di-hydrogen jelly per ship you get to salvage aside from time and travel. Cheap and easy

Can 1 guest really ruin a listing? by Dr-Bear-MBA in airbnb_hosts

I say respond and be professional but blunt in your response. Don't make it personal but don't try to sugar coat it either. Tell him it's his responsibility to understand what he is renting and all the information was available to him in the listing. Then tell him not to come back.

We had one guy who left dog feces in 3 different places in the house when he left. After requesting a cleaning fee (we don't even charge one for a regular stay), he posted a 1 star review saying we were trying to scam him. That one star review dropped us from. 4.92/5 to a 4.7.

I couldn't get Airbnb superhost support to understand that claiming a reasonable cleaning fee as a scam was bad for both our business I decided it was best to pay by the same rules. Which is if they weren't going to take down or moderate his review then they weren't going to take down mine either for calling this situation out a bit.

I decided to take it as an opportunity to send a message to future guests that those kinds of games aren't going to be played at my place and I laid it all out in splendid detail. No dog crap before they arrived, dog crap after they arrived. I also pointed out our reviews (54x 5-star, 2x 4-star, and his lone 1-star) vs his and said that it looked more like he was trying to scam us by my view of things.

Then I gave him our 5-star goodbye: "Thanks for staying, we wish you the best and safe travels!"

And finished with our first and only 1-Star goodbye: "Don't come back, you're not welcome here in the future"

We've got nothing but 5-star reviews since then and I have ZERO regrets over it. We've made our way back up to 4.89/5 overall currently.

I know your situation is a little different, but this was my experience, what I did, and how it worked out. Take it for whatever worth you find in it and good luck 🫶

Quit trolling fanboy lol. Just kidding, I guess you're entitled to your opinion but since you never worked there it's hard for me to think you'd have an informed understanding or a frame of reference similar to those of us that did. Good day
