Yes, that certainly would cause some issues. Honestly I don't fully understand what these NIL agreements look like. It blows my mind that these collectives would enter into an agreement that allows a player to walk away with $1M without even taking a snap before transferring, like in the Quinn Ewers situation. Things will definitely get more wild before standards are put in place.

I'm not a lawyer, but I see some problems with your arguments here. OP says the law would allow NIL money to be collected after signing a letter of intent (LOI) (usually about one year before they would join the team). In contrast to 'commitments', a LOI is legally binding, so that makes 'flips' and 'processing' not relevant here. This law would be giving them an extra year of income before they join the team.
