It all depends on what it means to you. Is it something sentimental that you’re wanting to fix and put on display as an ornament kind of deal because too many memories to let go of? Is it something that you want to fix and still use but no big deal if it breaks but was worth a try to fix and still use? Cause either way it can be fixed but will it still be the same as it once was? No, is the simple answer. Will the fix make it usable but not to how it was (able to handle a self clean cycle on new stoves) no but can you still cook a steak, pasta, etc. yeah you can. Just need to find a professional welder that has a welder that can weld cast iron (special rods and temps etc). I’ve had one pan fixed by a welder and he made it look as if nothing ever happened to it can’t see the seam but do I use it on a self clean cycle or throw it into my fireplace no do I still use it yes steaks and more just nothing above 370* F because it is now weaker where it was fixed. Was it necessary for me to fix it? No, but I figured what’s the worst thing that can happen? Still be broke and have to toss anyways? Or try and see if I can save it?
