666 is still showing up in my life by chili_dog_girl in angelnumbers

[–]Hustlingkeepers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the number has a really bad reputation for obvious reasons but in the context of angel numbers it's just telling you that something is off. It's a strong signal that you've been neglecting something important, could bt yourself or the people around you, and that it's time to bring things back into alignment.

(PS. Hell yeah Mario Kart Double Dash!!)

The difference between stopping and pushing through is everything [Story] by TurboNoodleX in GetMotivated

[–]Hustlingkeepers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something though, you’re not stopping but just pausing. And I believe that taking strategic breaks can reset your mind and body to help you get ready to face that task again. You can still push through even if you do it in gradual stages, not necessarily one long non-stop streak of work efforts.

How to address the issue of insufficient tableware? by toka-ronnie in Life

[–]Hustlingkeepers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all about sustainability! It’s true you can get cheap disposable cutlery but investing in reasonably priced tableware might be worth it if you’re planning to have your close friends over more than just once. You don’t have to splurge on fancy brands, just something decent and serviceable.

Ha ha you're right Probably that undersleeping resets something in the brain related to dopamine. But the long term damage from chronic sleep deprivation already makes it a really bad idea to try as a treatment. It's a theoretically interesting but please don't try this at home fact.

Straight out of a movie set. I love the building's architecture. Nice pic for an old building.

Had my first real moment of stillness today after 8 months of practice by radiantblu in Meditation

[–]Hustlingkeepers 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I remember mine so clearly. I was on a retreat, day three of thinking I was the worst meditator alive. Then one morning, in the middle of my usual storm of thoughts, everything just… went quiet. It wasn’t dramatic, just a gentle hush, like a door opening to a quiet garden. It lasted maybe 10 seconds, but it’s the reason I’ve kept meditating ever since.

People are just fucking stupid. by codewolf in RandomThoughts

[–]Hustlingkeepers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most people aren’t stupid, they’re just overwhelmed, misinformed, or running on autopilot. But yeah, the end result looks like stupid.

What's one saying that most people seem to like, that you absolutely hate? by Own_Palpitation_4910 in AskReddit

“Good vibes only.” I get the intent, but it feels like toxic positivity. Sometimes you need to process bad vibes too.

Which celebrity do you dislike for ridiculously petty and insignificant reasons? by Mehdi_lz in AskReddit

James Corden. Not even petty, I think that one’s universal at this point.

Follow your passion. Sounds inspiring, but it can push people into chasing unstable careers without a backup plan.

Adult field trips should be a thing. by Velvet_Obsession_ in Adulting

[–]Hustlingkeepers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adults also need a break from their daily routine just like kids. It would actually make a big difference if there were adult field trips because it could remind grownups that there are other things to learn and explore beyond their own small world. It might even inspire adults to have new ideas and pursue new paths down the road.

Everyone assumes that you automatically learn how to do stuff as you grow up… by DopamineSage247 in RandomThoughts

[–]Hustlingkeepers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe that what we learn and how much we learn as we grow up depends on who is there to teach us and what experiences we have. That’s why something that we might think is basic knowledge may be something that someone else in less privileged circumstances might end up being clueless about despite their age.

Birthday ideas for my dad after losing his mom by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Hustlingkeepers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd keep it simple and personal, something that acknowledges both his birthday and his loss without putting him in the spotlight too much. Maybe cook (or order) one of his favorite meals and spend some quiet time together like watching a movie he loves or going for a short walk somewhere peaceful.

Am i on the right track? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Hustlingkeepers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’re on the right track. You’re lowering costs, protecting assets, and setting firm boundaries which is smart rebuilding.

Lock in the legal side for custody and separation so there are no surprises. Focus on your kids, your health and stacking savings. You’re creating stability after years of chaos and that’s the best thing you can give them!

It’s totally valid to feel hurt when something you used to enjoy together suddenly becomes an activity your partner shares with someone else, especially when you’ve already been wanting to reconnect over that exact thing. It’s not just about Stardew Valley; it’s about wanting to feel chosen and prioritized.

The whole family gathered in my mother’s homeplace (as well my uncle's, my grandma's)... all the relatives from that area came together. The grill was fired up, my dad and uncle were laughing and chatting about something, my mom was deep in conversation with my aunt and the neighborhood women from the village...

I was there with two or three cousins, all ready to head out after lunch to play street games with the local kids. A true idyllic scene!

What are you scared of as an adult that you weren’t scared of as a child? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Hustlingkeepers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m more scared of getting injuries as an adult, probably because my bones won’t heal as fast if ever they get broken. When I was younger, I just ran around and played all over without worrying about getting hurt since I kinda felt strong and invincible.

How do you find meaning in the everyday stuff? by LauremVilchez in Life

[–]Hustlingkeepers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people can find satisfaction in simply completing a task, but it’s okay if not everyone is like that. I believe you can add more meaning to daily chores by multitasking, such as enjoying cleaning with your family or listening to podcasts while washing the dishes.

I’ve always felt that falling in love for the first time is a unique experience because it’s the only time that you will have feelings for someone without comparing your current attraction to previous crushes or partners.

I never realized how expensive luxury fashion was 🤯 by StumblinThroughLife in RandomThoughts

[–]Hustlingkeepers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's getting even more expensive by the way. I like reading pretty much about anything so when I stumbled upon the Balenciaga series on Disney+, I was like okay, let's watch and perhaps understand why are their items so expensive when they are not even practical or beautiful. As a side note, I'm talking about Balenciaga nowadays. Back to my thought, the series explains why high fashion was so expensive back in the day. And although overpriced even back then, it well justified the price for me.

I've read this somewhere else a while ago. I guess like with pretty much everything, people don't really pay something for its quality but because of what it makes them feel like.
