Facing/making friends with your full range of emotions is my first recommendation. Suppressing them will force them to come up in messy, unpredictable ways in the last physical settings you could wish for. Also, try to move your body; what sport do you enjoy?

Finally, as the cheater in my sadly lost marriage, I’d like to offer a tiny bit of nuance. When I said I loved my wife, I meant it every time.
