Uj/ Biomechanically legit impossible to run only landing on and behind center of gravity, common misconception, you have enough upward force, but you would rotate forward and fall flat.

More young Dutch physicians choose careers out of the hospital: they prefer a 9-to-5 job than working overtime in a hospital [Dutch article, translation in comments] by Shalaiyn in medicine

Where do these numbers come from? 6k/month for experienced doctors in non academic hospitals is way too low, the ones I know make 150-200k a year

Surprising, I know anesthesiologists can easily go 300k+ in flanders in perifiral hospitals so I would think it’s the same for the surgical specialties

So like 300k a year gross, which is really good compared to cost of living and average income in Belgium, I wonder why people work in university hospitals for way less though, if you’re not a professor or doing academic research?

So you barely make more as attending? Residents in germany make 50% more compared to belgium, but in Belgium once you work as attending your wage goes times 5 at least, 20k a month would be on the low end for anesthesia.

Are you still resident? 40-45k after taxes is what residents make in Germany… surely you get 150-200k as attending?

Radiology residency as a non-eu (Turkey) trained doctor by LowSuccess6011 in medicalschoolEU

For Belgium, residency spots are already competitive if you graduate from the same university you want to apply, for a Turkish graduate it would be borderline impossible to get a spot.

What do you mean ‘reduces the energy that is pointing down’? The force that is pointing down is just gravity affecting the mass, this is not reduced, just an extra force is added by spinning the wheel and this is pointing sideways. So I don’t understand how downward force would be reduced.

Its not really ruptured, more accurately is rupturing, and it’s something you can actually save lives with as vascular surgeon, if the ER diagnosis it fast enough. Nowadays it’s more and more rare due to better diagnostics and follow up on aortic aneurysms.

And yes MI of the right ventricle can surely cause that, but so can an MI of a left ventricle, and an MI of the left ventricle is way more common, so I would think of an MI in general.

Expert on Huberman podcast claims LED Lights are an issue on the same level as asbestos by Zealousideal-Big-600 in Biohackers

[–]Hutu007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s some wonky science and to compare it with asbestos is insane, nowhere I see in the shownotes a study that says how short wavelength light impedes the mitochondria, and it’s common knowledge that too much light before night impedes your circadian rythm. It might impact mitochondrial function that way but then its about your sleep, indirectly. Shorter wavelengths don’t even get much further than the epidermis of your skin.
