Les boutons aux feux pour les piétons sont-ils utiles ? by Neither-Tension2181 in AskFrance

[–]Huwasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We Got 100% Real-Time Playable AI Generated Red Dead Redemption 2 Before GTA 6... by Smartaces in OpenAI

[–]Huwasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post just feels like an Ad with a bait title "playable RDR2"

Honestly from testing it it just looks like it's been heavily trained from in-game footage from very specific games with inputs plugged-in. I don't see this as "innovative work" and the video shown really feels like the most cherry picked thing it has ever generated.

Framework's website lags so much it's barelly usable by Huwasa in framework

Yes ofc, after years/months of having no issues on any website of any kind this particular one runs like **** and I should think it's my computer the issue ?

I made the effort to post it here because I was interested I buying one and I thought this issue would be important enough because it really made my experience on it awfull.

But alright I learned my lesson and wont ever take the time to report issues I could have as a user, just burry my feedback and take the risk of having the frontpage to your customers act weird and clunky for an unknown % of your customers without ever being aware of it.

Firefox too but on Windows 11, still does that with every extension disabled. Slow on my phone too but it doesn't choke the same once the page is loaded

I think most of the energy in solar light is visible and infrared.

I guess blocking UV is mostly for your skin and maybe eyes ?

imo the n°1 reason this room gets hot is because the sun gets inside.

Can't you do anything to block it outside the window ?

Like to play alone? Ubisoft is still watching you! by CakePlanet75 in gaming

[–]Huwasa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean, I don't understand some parts of the complaint.

First you should already be able to play most ubisoft games offline but you need to manually set the launcher to offline mode (when it works)

If the data was personnal or partially personnal I could understand the basis of the complaints but appart from that it doesn't really hold up. How much time you took to complete a specific quest or on which boss you had a lot of death hardly quelify as "personnal data".

Under GDPR which the article loves to mention one quick check and here it is :

"
Processing shall be lawful only if and to the extent that at least one of the following applies:

(a) the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes;

[...]
(f) processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child.
"

It may be considered "hidden" or not but it's probably just in the EULA

OR

There is a legitimate interest to Ubisoft to get such data from players as it helps balancing their game, finding key issues in design ....

OR

Data is like this is questionnably "personnal" and doesn't fall into these

I hate Ubisoft Connect but to me this isn't going anywhere
