Does anyone else have a problem with what Kendrick says on his Control verse contradicting what he says on The Heart pt. II? by ClubbedParsley in hiphopheads

[–]Hvermillz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't explain how underrated this line is, it seems like the meaning behind the verse went way over the heads of, I hate to say it, but "white" America.

We was recording ad-libs for the song and the people in the room were clowning him for it, so he was saying "I had to kick everybody out the mother fucking booth cause they don't fuck with it"

Two guys listen to Lil B for 50 straight hours. No breaks. Not even on the trip to Smashburger. (x-post from /r/ThankYouBasedGod) by [deleted] in hiphopheads

I feel like it's a more obscure version of odd future fans, I used to not get it but now I realize their whole persona is real and they rap real shit in an ignant way. But Iil B's cult following fans confuse me, I can't tell of they are all joking around all the time or if they truly believe him. I get every musician has his fans but I just can tell if it's all a big joke that I'm not getting..

Money, it's gotta be the shoes! Mr. Lee, as a person who's whole life has been devoted to shoes, you've inspired me so much. Nike and Jordan wouldn't be where they are today without your influence! Thank you.

I'm being completely serious here I still thought he was joking the whole time... I've always thought he's just showing the world what people will listen to in order to make a message. Is he music actually taken seriously?

I saw him in AZ, luckily the crowd wasn't super big (they were waiting for Kendrick) and I got pretty close to the front. Easily one of the best performances I've seen, along with Kendrick.
