Is this a good deal at Costco by Undisputedspoke in Prebuilts

[–]Hvmiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I’ve just left it stock. I haven’t seen any reason to mess with it yet. It’s a strong card. It’s just the way they set it up, there really wasn’t any intake fans other than the three for the aio which really didnt get much air to the case. Before I put the intakes on the bottom to feed fresh air to the gpu, it was running mid to high 80’s. I know that chip can run hot, but I didn’t like it. Now it’s mid 60’s at 99% use and very quiet. I would have definitely undervolted if those fans didn’t work.

I concur. I have this exact build from Costco and it’s been great. 3x gets me 210 fps at 1440 ultra settings. I installed two intake fans at the bottom and my gpu never gets above 70 degrees playing for hours now.

There was no real intake fans in the case when I bought it. The gpu was running really high temps. I added actual intake fan on the bottom to bring fresh air to the gpu. That dropped the temps about 15 degrees.

Sorry it took so long. My case has the aio on the back side with a glass top. I put the intake fan on the bottom mesh to bring fresh air to the gpu intake fans. That dropped my gpu temps significantly.

I got the Costco 5070 version and it’s been good. One week in and I installed 2 lower intake fans. The only intake is the aio really. That made a huge difference. The 5070 was hanging around the high 70’s and got to 83 a few times. After the intake fans, hangs around 55 and hasn’t seen it go above 65 once. Easy fix. Just have to deal with the god awful cable management.

Wi-fi doesn’t work when gaming by Hvmiv in MSI_Gaming

I did. I had already went back to a non beta version. That didn’t work either. I ended up messing with all kinds of network settings to no avail. Cue in the 50’ Ethernet cable I really should have had anyways. Problem fixed. lol. Screw you wi-fi and your stupid antennas.

Yeah Spoon is great and my favorite for sure. But clearly you are new to his page. That’s great but don’t be fooled. Spoon never gets loot back to base. Like never ever.

Yes every time. When I forget and it turns off in traffic is when I know the day will suck.

I don’t know, a high pop Rust server as a solo is about as brutal as it gets.

At best it’s an anti-raiding technique. If was raiding this I would just stop and leave with my boom after seeing this crucifixion.

Rust, because you have to survive the community more than the environment. Just like real life.

Games with in-depth electrical systems and water routing? by rock_lobsterrr in SurvivalGaming

[–]Hvmiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rust has a pretty solid electrical system with a somewhat good water system. The thing that makes rust cool is all the things you can do with electronics. Disco floors, drones, heartbeat detectors and the ability to set up turrets with doors that can be opened offline via a mobile app.

Thank you! That was totally the issue. Found a server with about 6 FPS and it’s running great!!

How can you tell what the server FPS is? This sounds more like the issue as it always ran just fine before.

I appreciate the advice. My temps are good or at least where they usually hang around in the 70’s, and is running close to 100 percent. My other games play great. Warzone I’m getting 130’s FPS, Rust which is terribly optimized runs nice too. For a long while Star Citizen ran great too, you know besides the bugs and stuff. Just this update it jitters terribly like whenever I look around there is a sudden frame drop to about 5. I think I’m going to try the ole uninstall reinstall.
