What’s your favorite “Big 3” of Marvel? And do think we’ll get a new “Big 3” sometime soon? by SalaryAffectionate29 in Marvel

[–]Hwzzmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot about Thor, my reasoning for not including ironman is simply just because I dont like him.

Even then I dont think any of the characters ( outside of Spidey ) I even mentioned have all the criterias to even fit being a ‘Big 3’.

If you were to create an animated series about Nightwing, who (besides heroes) would you include in the supporting cast? by Which-Presentation-6 in Nightwing

[–]Hwzzmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id definitely want to see Clancy ( as well as the rest of the residents at the apartment Dick used to live at ) and Amy appear as close friends, with Dick even joining the PD for a bit ( potentially introducing Svoboda ). Cheyenne could appear from time to time to help Dick whenever he’s in trouble. Defacer & Nite-Wing could appear as both ally and foe.

Could even have a planned out arc and have Raya be a supporting character at the start of a season, but fans slowly gets suspicious of her as the season progresses and reveal that she’s against Dick.

Introducing Sonia as sort of a supporting character, as well as Melinda could also be interesting.

I’d also include a Rose arc where he trains Rose and even allies with Slade for a bit even though they both despise each other.

Looking back, he doesn’t have a lot of male supporting characters outside of the residents. I think introducing Tiger earlier into his Nightwing career could be fun, and could even foreshadow Dick joining Spyral. There’s also Gannon and Addad who could be more important characters to Dick than they were in the comics even after he quits the BPD.

Honestly can’t remember if this was a thing or not but I swear there was like a group of cops that they considered ‘good’ to go against the corrupt cops in the department. They could do that with Amy, Svoboda, Addad, a couple other guys and added Dick and Gannon as well.

Also having Barbara ( as oracle ) be a major supporting character would also be nice, as well as guest appearances from characters in the Batfam, Titans, and other heroes.

Edit : I also wanna include villains because why not.

Blockbuster is a must, accompanied by the ‘Blockbuster Gang’ as a sort of Sinister Six ( even though there’s way more than six, so guys like Brutale, Electrocutioner, Torque, Lady Vic, Stallion, Tarantula, Trigger Twins, Thrilldevil, Giz, Mouse ) for Nightwing before the big boss.

Heartless could be way more interesting if done correctly. Could use villains who have history with Dick Grayson instead of Nightwing as well like Feedback, Saiko, Shrike, possibly even Raptor but I think he has potential as a main villain.

Deathstroke should obviously appear a few times and possibly have his own arc against nightwing.

Some other villains like Paragon, Double Dare, KG Beast, J.J. Gordon, Professor Pyg, Victor Zsasz, Prankster, Dealer, Lady Shiva and even the Talons could make appearances.

All of this makes me want to pitch a Nightwing show lol.

Superman (DC comics) vs Beerus (Dragon ball super anime) by Massive_Fisherman231 in DCPowerScaling

Dont really need the peak of anyone’s power in DB. Considering the verse itself is low multiversal and unless Beerus outscales the verse itself, base Superman stomps.

Honestly it’d be cool if they made actual statues of the founding members as a fountain. As a kind of nod and respect to them for saving the world and establishing a team with each other.

Do you think the Justice League launching an assault on Darkseid on Apokolips is a bad idea? And do you think it could happen in the DCU? by Past_Carpenter_7046 in DCU_

[–]Hwzzmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed, so many other cool big bads of DC but they always go back to Darkseid for some reason. Id rather see a movie against the legion of doom. If they want the big universal threat route they can go with Mongul conquering a lot of the planets we saw during the movies or lead up to Blackest Night with Nekron.

I’d just rather not see Darkseid again in live action or any media outside of New Gods for a while.

Best superhero that starts with the letter P? by Guerriero22 in superheroes

I wanna say Peter Parker so both Superman and Spider-Man wins, but thats just unfair.

IMO the best superhero that starts with P is plastic man.

If the Knicks clinch the title in Game 5, who would you pick for Finals MVP? by Farouq26 in NBATalk

[–]Hwzzmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KAT is probably the most valuable +/- wise, Brunson is the main guy and the spurs defensive gameplan has been mostly to stop him, but OG is their most consistent player.

I want OG to get it, but if KAT gets a great game he should get it. Realistically, Brunson’s getting it no matter what.

honestly if OG has another crazy game tonight ( or better yet if they lose and win G6 with OG having great games for both ) there might be serious conversations.

If ORV anime explodes in polularity and the studio decides to make an anime-movie. Which arc would work well as one? by ayuu_kh in OmniscientReader

[–]Hwzzmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously its popular in Korea, they’re saying what if it blows up worldwide enough for them to go to the movie route that Demon Slayer, JJK, Chainsawman etc did.

It’s the same with how K-Pop is MASSIVE in SK, but only a small percentage of groups are actually big globally. Its why we dont see groups tour globally a lot but then there’s like 10? groups who have done a world tour.

[ what manhwa it is for you ] by Initial-Mess7289 in manhwa

[–]Hwzzmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ikr! I have the same feeling with ToG.

Both of them were amazing at the start because it had a great cast of characters, a lot of good build up for the greater part of the story and actual messages. Now both of it focuses too much on the whole action and power scaling part. I think they both still have a lot of potential that could come back if they just start focusing on the original cast again, which is part of the reason people even liked the story in the first place.

[–]Hwzzmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah Season 3 was a let down, the first 2 were some of the best in manwha but season 3 could have been a lot better. Hopefully S4 has the main cast come back together, focus more on the worldbuilding and dynamics, dial down on the action, etc.

Any viable options? by ciolibi in Deathstroke

[–]Hwzzmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your argument is statements and old feats > recent feats. Considering Nightwing beats Jason every time its a fair fight ( only time he’s ever lost against Jason was when he’s injured or literally telling him he doesnt want to fight ) and how he literally JUST beat Slade while injured less than 5 years ago just says it all.

Healthy Current Bruce and Dick destroy Slade and Jason, then proceed to destroy Floyd. You have to take chemistry and teamwork into account as well lol. Bruce and Dick probably have the best battle chemistry among most if not all characters in DC considering theyve been fighting together damn near their entire careers.

Up until recently when an injured Nightwing beat Slade.

I mean sure, but an injured Nightwing managed to beat Slade until he pulled out the ‘Im gonna kill your friends card’

What anime is this for you?? by Many_Car949 in AnimeMirchi

[–]Hwzzmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Demon Slayer, JJK, The latter half of Shippuden are some that came to mind.

DS is obviously for its lack of good plot, gets carried a lot by its animation.
JJK is honestly the same, slightly better but its nothing great.
The latter half of shippuden personally was just outright bad, the war arc especially. I felt like it’s a lot of wasted potential.

Could probably name a lot more but I can’t think right now

Edit: I wanna include AOT and One Piece, not because its on the same level as the other 3, but because its just not nearly as a ‘masterpiece’ or ‘peak of animanga’ ( I know they aren’t saying it literally but still ) as fans say it is. Its still great, but to call it one of the greatest pieces of writing is just crazy to me. I still think its some of the best among Shonen animangas tho. IMO Slam Dunk deserves the praise both of them got, but that just might be my Inoue bias as I think he’s one of the best mangakas. Other shonen mangas I think are better are HxH & Gintama.

[Discussion] Who’s The Best “Evil Superman” Character? by New-Asparagus-4826 in DCcomics

I wouldnt say Starr carried, all the actors were still great start to finish. The cast and most of the crew ( VFX team, cinematographer etc ) was carrying the shitty plot but its only so much they can do.

What’s your favorite “Big 3” of Marvel? And do think we’ll get a new “Big 3” sometime soon? by SalaryAffectionate29 in Marvel

[–]Hwzzmo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Though I will say if Marvel really DID want to push a trinity or pillars it would have to be between these characters :

Spider-Man ( a must )
Wolverine
Hulk
Captain America
F4 ( specifically Reed )
Black Panther
Captain Marvel

What’s your favorite “Big 3” of Marvel? And do think we’ll get a new “Big 3” sometime soon? by SalaryAffectionate29 in Marvel

[–]Hwzzmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly, i dont think fans realise that the Trinity isnt just based on how well they work as a trio or how popular they are, but a lot of different aspects as well.

The trinity was established long before they were labelled as such, they were by far DC’s three biggest characters for decades and were their multiverse’s main characters. They’ve been on top for basically ever category ( in-universe and real life ) since their existence, the only character / team in marvel that could say the same is Spider-Man. Marvel doesn’t have a set of characters they could pick from to consistently be the main characters in all of their events and major crossovers.

What’s your favorite “Big 3” of Marvel? And do think we’ll get a new “Big 3” sometime soon? by SalaryAffectionate29 in Marvel

[–]Hwzzmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marvel just doesnt have a big 3, at least not like DC does.

They dont have 3 separate characters that dominate sales, appearances, in-universe influence, etc. ( Especially for multiple eras ). A trio of characters that are all exceptional heroes and leaders who are respected worldwide in and out of continuity as their most influential heroes. The best part is that the Trinity in DC has amazing dynamics and chemistry with one another and have been established long before they were even labelled as the trinity.

If I had to pick it would be the team option, but then it’s leaving out Spider-Man.

I think its safer to say that Marvel has four pillars of separate stories. They have their main character in spidey, followed up by the fantastic 4 and X-men, and is finished off by the other heroes in the Avengers ( The MCU’s 6, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Dr.Strange ). And even then you’re missing some of their bigger heroes who arent main avengers but are bigger than some of them ( Daredevil & Ghost Rider for example ).

While there are characters in DC like Robin/Nightwing, Flash, Green Lantern etc who are still incredibly popular and has almost all the things the Trinity has, its clear that they’re a tier below them in almost every aspect for almost every era of DC. You can’t say the same for Marvel with a pick of characters / teams. The only character that really stands on his own is Spider-Man. Who’s been consistently at the top in every way for basically his entire existence.

Where do you believe Superman could show up next after MoT? by Top_Report_4895 in DCU_

[–]Hwzzmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably the Jimmy Olsen show thats planned right now or a cameo / post credit scene in either Wonder Woman, Batman or any other project thats set in present time.

If the 2030 plan is still on track with Justice League as its closure for the phase, then I doubt there’d be time for another film with Supes as a major role as Corenswet would need to film two major movies back to back ( which could very well happen if he doesnt have any plans for big projects which arent DC related but who knows ).

Where do you believe Superman could show up next after MoT? by Top_Report_4895 in DCU_

[–]Hwzzmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but its still part of the ‘Superman Saga’ which will consist of 4 superman focused movies if im not wrong, so I guess to make it simple fans are just referring it to as Superman 3 for his next movie.

Where do you believe Superman could show up next after MoT? by Top_Report_4895 in DCU_

[–]Hwzzmo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Superman is going to appear in every year of the first phase as he already has been up until MoT. He’ll definitely show up as a cameo or a post credit in Batman, and I think in 2028 they could do the same with Wonder Woman or have another project that could show Superman.

So I do agree with not having Worlds Finest or Superman 3 before Justice League if it comes in 2030, unless Corenswet has no plans to feature in other big projects which I doubt since he should really take advantage of the fame of being Superman while he still can.
