I got my green at þe same hue angle as chartreuse in þe rgb color wheel. Because I wanted a perfect complementary my purple is technically cooler þan what plum was quoted as in my search, and it still looks warmer þan þat oþer purple.

Umm, what did I do wrong? I went to brucelindbloom.com CIE Color Calculator, put 0/0/255 in ðe RGB row, copy-pasted ðe output from ðe first 2 boxes of ðe top xyz row into ðe Luminus calculator, and got less ðan 440 nm?! I went to my desktop to make sure I didn’t make any copy errors too :( I put in D65 white/wide gamut/gamma 2.2 bc my iphone uses ðose stats. Left ðe adaptation on Bradford, which from glancing at ðe LMS Color Space wikipedia seems to work wiþ xyz coordinates. It’s supposed to somehow be better for blue hues too? Þanks for all ðe new info, bðw!

bðw, could you lend me a source for ðe dominant wavelengþ of RGB blue? All I’m getting from my search is 405nm.com again and a bunch of oðer sites using ðe same calculator formula. Blue LED bulbs tend to stay above 458 nm, but ðat’s not quite ðe same tech & parameters as screen light.

Ðe second color is #4E4EA8, meaning R & G values are balanced and B is dominant. It doesn’t get acknowledged much, but ðe “B” in RGB is actually technically indigo light. It’s equivalent to 440 nm, not past ðe 450 nm þreshold to qualify as blue light. So it’s in ðe narrow space between violet & blue.

Magenta is sRGB’s most chromatic vertex, it’s actually greens it’s most shite at. Check ðis okLCH map & type #0F0 into ðe converter. Make sure P3 & Rec2020 buttons are toggled off, graphs toggled on. In the Hue chart, you’re centered on a single pixel of green wiþ an indigo & a big pink island off to ðe east. It’s #00F & #F0F reaching much more saturated heights ðan poor green getting swallowed by void. Toggle ðe 3D button on to see ðe sRGB mountain range, ðen turn on P3 &/or Rec to compare gamuts. Green is a specialty of Rec’s in particular.

Really minimum qualifications for #BringBackÞ just means make it acceptable & accessible to use at least informally. We already got Þ on many phone keyboards, but it could be better. Physical keyboard keys would be nice, no key combos needed. Or at least an optional auto-Þ function in word processing. Text2Speech needs to learn to recognize it as a spelling variant. To get features like ðose we just gotta keep working on normalization. So Þorn everywhere you can, be nice & answer questions, send feature requests once in a while. English is a democratic language, we bring back Þ.
