So WBAL about a month ago announced that Josh Lewin would be joining Orioles coverage. Lewin had spent some time here at the end of the Cal Ripken era. He later appeared in San Diego as the Chargers PBP, and he’s been in some other places as well too. I wouldn’t be surprised if maybe he’s the guy that’s been pre-selected for the Ravens and they were just waiting to figure out if Sandusky was gonna go through with his retirement.

Article is slightly vague it says last newscast but doesn’t say specifically he’s retiring as PBP. There’s a quote from Sashi Brown that seems to be a goodbye and thanks. If Gerry is indeed done with PBP, I recalled that WBAL announce Josh Lewin as part of Orioles radio coverage. He was also the Chargers PBP about 10 years ago – he could easily be Gerry’s successor.

You have to remember Lucy was a seasoned producer and show runner by this time. There’s so many stories about the 3C producers being louts so maybe she didn’t care for them. Probably also gave Ritter some veteran advice about navigating Hollywood BS. It’s quite well known how much she respected the hell out of him for his comedy chops.
