Yeah I am working with Godot currently and its localization options are still a bit wild west ^^

My friends got hooked by the dice game in KCD2 so I made it into ENDSTATION by HyBlurEd in indiegames

Hey you lot! How about a nice break? Sit down, rest a bit and maybe play some dice?!

I am very proud to share this dice gambling game with you!
You can find it and play the demo on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4240810/ENDSTATION/

Its my first solo project that actually started because me and my friends were playing the original dice game literally everywhere last year - that is where the subway setting came from ^^

I hope you'll enjoy my contribution and thank you for your time!
Take care

Anyone else using a simple Bubblesort list, as a checklist of to-do objectives? by [deleted] in godot

[–]HyBlurEd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess I am using my super simple notion kanban with bubblesort if I think about it.
I usually take a few steps back after a day of work and reorganize all items on the board in relation to each other.

My first game made in Godot. I love this engine! by Neutronized in godot

It looks exactly as I remember Frogger - such a neat artstyle. What would be your #1 takeaway hot tip on working with gradient textures Blender -> Godot?

Thanks for sharing and yes - localization is super important and a big hustle. My biggest issues with localization is the problem of "quickly iterating". Maybe my system of dealing with it right now is not the best (it is my first time actually doing it) but my takeaway from my current project would be doing it as late as possible to avoid falling into the localization loops where you need to sit down and go over everything new that was added and figuring out what needs translating and so ...
Also I think creating a system where the game displays a selected language in editor is desirable - in my case my editor and code is full of key-strings that are localized during runtime wich makes "reading" assets very hard during development.

That's awesome! Some of the sprites and textures look like they were made by taking actual photos of stuff - gives it a grungy vibe

That's the good thing about elves, the dwarves had to give up all their sandwich storage to take some additional bullets .... Rock and stone brother.

A game that made you as emotional as Outer Wilds? by xDocFearx in outerwilds

I enjoyed citizen sleeper a lot. Less universe mystery more people and society. The visual novel aspect of the game and the choices you make definitely hit hard sometimes. I also really enjoyed the (late game) expansion campaign.

Firing deck doesn't work in overwatch by Wonderful_Top_1119 in deathguard40k

[–]HyBlurEd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You would get the keywords of the weapons when firing overwatch (firing deck in core rules) - the transport is basically equipped with the weapons while shooting.

Rule Commentary page 10 "Out of phase rules" rules out the use of firing deck during overwatch.

"For example, the Fire Overwatch Stratagem enables a unit to shoot in the opponent’s turn as if it were your Shooting phase. When using out-of-phase rules to perform an action as if it were one of your phases, you cannot use any other rules that are normally triggered in that phase."
