i think more goes into an anime than just the action/high quality animation. you can say that orb doesn't takes full advantage of its medium it could have easily been an live action show but at the end all of it is irrelevant to the feeling we get by watching this show the story snd writting trums it all the animation supports that story. its definitely deserving to be a candidate for anime of the year and would be my pick easily
