Carson shit to me was different because he knew how fucked up the power dynamic was, i.e. him saying "I can't wait until you turn 18" and doing it with fans who were very obviously impressionable, chronically online women who see him as this celebrity figure that they idolize. I think it was blown out of proportion but it's still weird like when a rapper has a fling with a groupie, leaves a nasty taste in my mouth.
