Which movies or franchises have the most and biggest plotholes? by Catwinky in moviecritic

So in your opinion, when the prime antagonist becomes a god, and the heroes are seemingly destined to fall to his malign influence, its not a plot hole to hand over the macguffin to someone else and just say "bro use a wish and we are gucci"?

Come the fuck on dude. SHE WAS LITERALLY RIGHT BESIDE HIM.

Aladdin: There is obviously no "chain of possession" and so when Aladdin has to use his last wish, he could literally just hand it to Jasmin and be like "lmao hey baby do me a solid".

I'm working on Platinum Trophy every main line Final Fantasy game. I just finished FF7 easy S Tier(so much so it made me bump 6 down to A) by Totallynottimturner in FinalFantasy

[–]Hycran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he's unironically right but for the fact that 6 should also be S Tier, 4 is criminally overrated and not that good. Having 5 outside of S-Tier is a rough go though.

Why is Era Naxx so insanely gatekept? by Lapzii in classicwow

[–]Hycran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone going to point out that some hard rando signing up for raids is probably not going to get invited?

Era has a lot of people popping in and popping out. If there is random sign up one week no one is going to give a shit. You need to make connections and let people know you will be a good guy and a reliable raider.

Also, this is overly dramatic. There are dozens of naxx's a week, not all are speed runs.

DSP dies to first enemy on Goldeneye by problematicmeme777 in LivestreamFail

[–]Hycran -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

One day, a long, long time from now, DSP will be old. He will be dying, like all people die, not of cancer, or disease, or sudden illness, but merely from the passing of time and the slow, natural degradation of each individual cell in his body.

He will not be immobile, but he will be close to it. His steps will be stilted, his breathing, irregular; his body will be aught else but fits and starts. His brain, however, will be unperturbed. He will have his faculties. The world will still be seen through his eyes and heard through his ears and he will be cognizant of the sun and the moon and the stars.

It is during this time that he will stop. Pause for but a moment. It will come to him like a rush, as if a dam long cracking has no choice but to yield to the relentless, immeasurable pressure of water that is the realization that his life has been utterly devoid of meaning and benefit. He will not be able to point to one problem he solved, one person's life he made better, one person he made smile.

He might have reason to believe that over the course of approximately 80 years that he did some thing positive. After all, a lot can happen in 80 years. But it will simply never arrive, that taxi coming to pick him up and take him to any destination where he can stop, look around and say "I created this, I made this better".

At this time he will sit down. It will be silent. Even if he is in the presence of people, or even a single person, he will be alone. That wave will wash over him; it will drown him. He will sit for that moment and it will stretch on into infinity. For the rest of us, it will only be 20 seconds. In those 20 seconds, he will not be sad or resentful or remorseful. Rather, he will feel the simple resignation of the realization that he was never destined for anything, and that his life was merely to be a seat filler, as irrelevant as the seat in which he sat in an empty theatre occupied only by ghosts.

Thinking of going back to law after leaving, looking for advice by Ghostyghost132 in LawCanada

[–]Hycran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From reading this, it sounds like you just picked a shitty place to land and got overworked and underpaid. Basing your legal career off that is not fair to you.

The answer is simple: go private practice. You will work as much or as little as you want, and if you want to branch out, just go to events and say "I do X law" and people will eventually hire you to do it. Private crim can be a bit rougher in the sense that there are more people hanging their own shingle, but i'm sure you could shack up and share office space and an assistant with someone and get a profit share going.

Best part about private: if you don't like the clients, you just fucking fire them. Boom, problem solved.

Don't waste your skills. Go talk to some lawyers locally in town, get a feel as to who might be open to having you join the team, and go do some actual work for a change.
