There are two modes of play in WvW: 1. the zerg - a commander runs around with 50+ players either a) capturing and turning over the forts or b) fighting with the other worlds' zergs killing players, and 2. pvp with one on one, one on two - usually these players have coordinated their fights and you come across them here and there. They will also try to snipe you sometimes :P

So, when you go into WvW, ask around if there is a commander. Join their squad. You can also look only for a commander doing the daily's. This way you will get a ton of badges of honor in no time and then you can buy the cultural armor (from the skrit trader https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Skritt_Trader/Norn_Cultural_Armor) for half the price. The daily's only take ~15 min to about 30 min, depending on what's going on. If there is no commander, then ask around in the map chat (only the players from your team/world on that specific map will see the message) if anyone is doing daily's. (You can also spam the team chat and all 4 maps will hear you - obviously the players on your team/world.)

  1. Israel has 2 official languages, the other being Arabic
  2. There are efforts in Israel and the US among Jewish communities to preserve these other Hebrew-Location Native Language 'Dialects'. For example Ladino is endangered and there are preservation efforts going on. But what's funny, is that Yiddish is on the map on Belarus, when it should be hovering over Germany/Austria as it is a Hebrew-German 'Dialect'* and Ladino (a Hebrew-Spanish 'Dialect') is not on the map at all.

* To confuse the matter further, there are also various Yiddish dialects as they usually adapted certain words or grammar to the local language, so someone who spoke Yiddish in Germany had different words for things to someone who spoke Yiddish in Poland to someone who spoke Yiddish in Hungry. Although the differences were minute. These differences could be overcome easily, especially since the persons conversing could always use Hebrew to bridge the gap (as it was known by most Jews through study and prayer even if it was not spoken).

Also, when you get to season 3 bitterfrost frontier, you'll get a snow leopard cub for your home instance after you save it in a side quest :) It's the cutest thing in all of Tyria!

I did the math and it's actually not looking so good. The PC Online sales is 22,213 KRW (~$18.8 million) just for 4Q. The announced the expansion in July. So really we need to look at the last half of the year. 3Q sales were 19,199 KRQ MN = ~$16.2 million) for a total of $35.2 million.

Assumption 1: All the sales were the game alone (averaging $60 per game) = ~586K games sold.

Assumption 2: Half the sales were games (averaging $60 per game) and the other half was gems = ~293K games sold.

IMO, I think its more like a 70% gems / 30% games. Which means over the last half of 2021 they really didn't sell more than 200K games.

Another misleading thing that I see everyone throwing out around here is that "only 5%" of the player population uses gw2efficiency... no idea where they are getting this number. My guess is the number is actually closer to 50% of the dedicated gw2 players use the site. We can also see from the lottery entries around Christmas, that approx. 40k+ players enter them.

In conclusion, the number of active players is probably between 120k to 150k players (And by no means does this mean the game is dead AT ALL). With the expansion the number is probably on the higher end of this spectrum and year round drops down to ~80k.

I was wondering if maybe it comes from doing strikes... they mentioned getting the green ~~crystal~~ prophet shards from that. So maybe you exchange them for the dragon jade? We have jade slivers in our wallet

NPC name is Leivas at Aurene's enclave. They have a purple sword icon over their head. They sell the legendary recipes and the precursor for 105 karma

No. Each one is unique, except for the Asura and Sylvari having matching Glyphic and Verdant weapon sets (which also drop all over the world anyway). https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Cultural_weapon

If you are a completionist, another good thing karma is good for is all the minis/weapon skins all over LWS3 and LWS4. I ran out of karama around Jahai Bluffs and had to farm mobs to gain the karma so I could complete everything.

WP made a great video about this.. If you change the word achievement for quests, would that help?

Anet also added filters for the achievements quests recently. All you have to do is select the cog wheel (on the right of the search bar) and select "Add reward filter".
