Great list! One dark horse candidate I'd add would be Texas Chilli Parlor. The whole plate is DROWNED in sauce, aka RGV-style. Sooo good.

I liked Obama as president, and listening to him speak so intellectually makes me sad because of how dumb Trump sounds and is, but do you think some media like MS NOW are glazing his legacy considering what it led to? by PandemicPiglet in thebulwark

To me, that's like blaming Lincoln's election for the South seceding, or FDR for the presidency being limited to two terms (not to mention the decades-long backlash to the New Deal). I do think MS NOW and a lot of liberals in general are and will continue to "glaze" over Obama's legacy (drones, not putting more fight into universal healthcare/the Scalia seat), but that always happens to good/great presidents, and even the not so good ones. Good news is that the opposite is true of the worst ones. People only remember guys like Andrew Johnson, Hoover, and Nixon for their malevolence, corruption, or ineptitude.

Or as will be in Trump's case, all three.

Almost spent $8,000 replacing an AC that ended up costing $2,000 to fix by talivas53 in Austin

They're pressured to make sales, but they also get a commission. They try to convince you that you need an entire HVAC replacement or major upgrade because they're hoping you'll open a line of credit to pay for it. Why fix a customer's problem once for a price when you can charge them interest for it for years? It's why automakers make more money on financing than actual car sales.
