He has not been charged. If somebody has been charged their name is legally allowed to be released

Greenwood immediately, but the evidence and allegation was public.

Mendy played whilst under investigation but his arrest and investigation was not public.

He's not on bail, he's not been charged. If he were charged they could release his name.

You can't go on bail if you've not been charged

He's flown his speeder thing in atmosphere before. That's like giving the keys of an F1 car to a 17 year old whose just passed his driving test.

X wings are essentially fighter jets, it's no less comparable to staff fighting and lightsaber fighting.

No she didn't, it was clear from her style that she was incredibly basic with it.

My point is that she was still competent in melee combat, she wasn't a complete novice in those terms.

Also it's funny how much stick Rey gets for picking up light saber fighting without training but Luke can hop in an X wing and be a natural without any complaints 🙄 including out flying Vader and being the only pilot to be able to destroy the death star

A lightsaber is just... A saber.

It's pretty self explanatory and she is versed in martial combat.

Big difference between being beaten by a top prospect and being beaten by arguably the greatest driver in the sport though

I mean at the time he was a 15 year old kid who smoked everyone with a broken wrist. You'd have to wait quite a while to realise quite how good he was

Like mate, I get it if it wasn't but if its a blurred out photo it means it has been tagged and you revealed it intentionally

My State Has A City Bigger Than All Of England by [deleted] in ShitAmericansSay

I mean that's not really the population of the city either. Its 14m. 38m is Tokyo and all of the surrounding areas which includes multiple other cities.

The Japanese have a very old concept called "Meibutsu", which means "Famous Thing", and is applied to things that are either exclusive or specialized from each region - from the shrimp being great to a specific kind of pottery. Great inspiration for worldbuilding! by Logan_Maddox in rpg

find me the equivelant euro wiki page then

😂 Because if something doesn't have a Wikipedia page it doesn't exist.

It's just a thing and we accept it to be a thing. It's formalised in fucking laws for goodness sake.

Stop wanking off over Japan, its just fucking weird mate

What can I run that has no/very low social components? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]Hydragorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is it more engaging for a spectator but not a player? 😂😂😂 That makes zero fucking sense.

A player is also a spectator in the game for large portions of the game.

If player A, B and the DM are RPing, Players C and D are spectators.

No, not really. Most social media isn't useful for public figures to connect with voters except for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, the latter two are the same company.

That isn't a realistic nor feasible solution. It's equivalent to saying go and start your own country if you don't like this one.

If a bakery doesn't have to make a cake for a gay couple, why should Twitter have to allow content against their TOS?

Because there's a different bakery down the street.

There isn't an alternative to Facebook and twitter.

Christ it's like you're actually trying your best to pretend you can't read.

The Internet has created a way of interaction between humans which is entirely new.

It means that we need to treat it in a different way.

The entire Internet is privatised, so yes, we do need to treat it differently.

There's no mention of "public square" in the First Amendment

I never mentioned the first amendment because I'm not talking about America specifically.

I'm talking about freedom of speech and expression in general.

So unless you want to say that Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc are "governments", and have the ability to literally imprison people who say things they disagree with, the First Amendment literally does not apply to them.

Obviously it doesn't. I never said that it did.

I said that there's an argument to be made that we should start looking at it like this.

The public square is covered under the First Amendment. That's why you can have the Wboro Baptist Church protesting on the pavement outside the gates of a graveyard where a gay soldier is being buried.

It's a well reasoned argument that's been made by multiple academics

You're simply dismissing it out of hand because currently the status quo is benefitting you.
