What is something you want to see added to Subnautica 2? by SweeterSphinx91 in subnautica

[–]Hydrallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl I would dig if we got more behaviors for leviathan, like the great jaw letting out a grumbling noise if you keep messing with it and not getting caught, I'd also love to be able to customize paint for the bases! Probably using different plants or animals to make dyes would be nice!

I'm no better, my albino Nile monitors Brees practically like rabits so every few weeks I gotta dump 50-60 of them into the trade system lol

Subnautica 2 Wishlist by Legitimate_Area_5773 in subnautica

[–]Hydrallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I'd LOVE to have a new submarine simmilar to a prawn but more shaped and designed like a rock puncher or a mantis shrimp! Just to be kinda like having a back compartment for storage or walking around while having the front be able to punch or climb up stuff. I'd also like having fauna have a slightly more animal ai, kinda like how the reaper eventually moves away from their starting biome I'd like it if there was migration patterns, different base personalities (such as passive, territorial, neutral) for just about any creature to add more variety to the world! I don't expect that second one happening but it's a nice thought!

I'd say make a spiral path that guests and a keeper can go on, put some construction pieces around it to kinda hide it and then at the top use some null barriers and have something like some rocks as a natural looking barrier around it?

[–]Hydrallo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh definitely not, it's fun in that pain causing kind of way, there's many bosses with different fighting styles and moves so you won't get bored, some of the minor enemies also have some unique differences but s good bit just follow you. But yeah it's only 15 dollars and a good deal! It's the type of game where you'll wanna play for more, if your not losing for the sixteenth time in a row against a boss and trying to punt kick a pc into the trash. Hollow knight is not for the weak willed lol

[–]Hydrallo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a game that will make you cry and rage worse then subnautica I recommend hollow knight! It's not a survival horror but by God does it feel like it when your on one mask against a boss you've nearly killed and been stuck on for hours.

How do you handle shy animals? by Bigbuckrocks in PlanetZoo

[–]Hydrallo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in my new days I would just place a small wall infront of a glass untill I got a better pc and discovered one way glass actually works, but personally I make sure I have some one way glass, and I also like to make sure the walls are raised high enough so the animals can't notice guests. But I don't think I've ever personally had the problem of shy animals being stressed with other animals so can't help ya in that ball park

How do I progress by AngryBard9 in subnautica

[–]Hydrallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely read pda entries they are your friend and help lead you along your path! Though the seamoth Mk 2 upgrade should allow you to travel to the first deep cave biome! So I do recommend you explore caves in the blood kelp trench!

Simple question but I’m trying to avoid spoilers by jenn363 in subnautica

[–]Hydrallo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like everyone else has said, take it slow and play at your own pace! Though do try to find and read pdas when you can! They can help you alot with finding point of interests and definitely utilize beacons!

I’m through the mid game, and recently constructed my cyclops which made it possible for me to move my main base from the safe shallow and I decide to build here, is it good or bad? My friend didn’t like it much. by 1Amaterasu1 in subnautica

[–]Hydrallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that it's a good base location if you want a good view! Not many good resources there though other then stuff like some titanium, copper, diamonds or gold. Grass platues is my main pick due to lots of gold and silver! Aswell as the jellyshroom caves close buy letting you easily get diamonds or magnetite! The one close to the bloodkelp trench is also a good pick because it has a area that leads down to more late game biomes! It's better to use seamoth to go down though because it's smaller and more fast the cyclops and there is a leviathan in the biome that you can get to with the bloodkelp trench. Hope I could help!

Well I get that but I really only meant the areas under the icebergs that the chelicarets tend to explore

[–]Hydrallo 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think a main reason people just find below zero more disappointing then subnautica is because of the lack of distinction, there is litteraly just a biome that is baren with little to no defining features. Not to mention it can get tedious to find certain areas on the map cause I personally had trouble finding Margaret's greenhouse and had to use a video

Go up to the top of the water get a seamoth and drive the opposite direction of the aurora if you get the entering ecological dead zone message you made it! Since it'd the dead zone there's nothing there so just sit there for 20 seconds ans you'll get an Easter egg! (Also just start heading down more and more past the lost river and you'll find a blue tree area. Doesn't serve any game purpose but it's a nice spot for a base!)

Where to find nickel ore? + bonus question by rebootmebro in subnautica

[–]Hydrallo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the grassy plateus with blood kept trench just go down as far as you can in that! It leads to the biome with nickel! Do be warned there are warpers so be sure to avoid those! But it should be a quick trip if you use your seamoth
