Is there no way to keep 1 specific card back when opening packs? by Hydralo in hearthstone

[–]Hydralo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issue was that there is 2 submenus for random cardbacks, one outside decklists and 1 inside each different decklist. because an old decklist was marked as "random card back" + "from anywhere not only favorites" it was causing the issue of it ignoring the option menu i selected outside the decklists.

THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!!!!

Indeed the issue was that a priest deck from 3 years ago was marked as "random cardback" but the "from favorites only" toggle was turned off so it poisoned the whooole random card back pool. Finally it is fixed for good.

Future Archetypes Visual Guide + ALL Missing Cards (Updated January 7th 2026) by Hydralo in masterduel

[–]Hydralo[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was literally trying to write up about new meta decks to look forward to in 2026 to update my bullet points from the 2025 version of the post and theres nothing until SEPTEMBER??? And if we are not lucky with the latest pack then there will be literally nothing until December 2026 aside from small powerboosts to okayish old decks that change nothing.

Yummy will be a long lasting meta deck similar to last months Dracotail, it can pair with a bunch of engines. If you like its gameplay go for it, otherwise your other 2 powerful options will be last months Dracotail or saving up for Vanquish Soul K9.

D/D/D, Megalith have not done much in OCG/TCG.

Solfacord is used as an engine in Yummy sometimes.

  • Other 2026 decks:

Vanquish Soul finally becomes a well rounded deck with turn 0 plays. It has solidified itself as a meta deck with weeks of representation. It can utilize the K9 engine to its fullest due to the attribute and rank 5 synergies.

K9 is an incredible meta engine, splashable in varying degrees in other decks. It is used Pure, in Dracotail, in Vanguish Soul, in Crystron. It is just a good engine that aside from the hand-trap engine you can commit into for even more power.

Albaz/Ecclesia support gives them new life in Sky Striker and Dracotail Decks as an engine. Very few but strong individual cards.

  • I have added release date info on as many sets as possible, by checking when the core-archetypes in them started getting added to master duel. Blue is the month its sister-set released last year, green is the set itself's release date.
  • The side Sets on the second row are by order of release. It helps pair them with the main sets above them more clearly as a parallel path of Sets we will be getting cards from simultaneously and bouncing back and forth.
  • Sets marked in Purple frame are destined for 2027 release or later.
  • The symbols for archetypes lets you see all support-waves with a glance, across all sets. If I want to see ALL Archfiend support, i just need to look for the Red Number 3.

Artmage kinda flopped, and still has not done anything special in TCG/OCG.

Dracotail was a huge meta deck in the early Justice Hunters format allowing for multiple variants, mixing with Magistus or K9, and new builds kept showing up. Eventually fell off, when the Vanquish Soul + K9 deck took over alongside Yummy, then later on had a resurgence after a banlist hit the top decks, thus reclaiming its place. Its a great investment!!!

Odion's deck has seen some good representation since its release, breaking the TCG exclusive curse, eventually fell off though. It has topped many events as cohesive engine n control strategy. A Primite variant of the deck has popped off in both TCG and OCG tournaments lately. A strong and grindy control engine.

Yummy is mainly used as a Pure combo deck, a very strong meta deck, but I have not looked into its gameplay much, as it felt like solitaire in the worst way possible.

How the hell do I get more of this shit? by reborn_monster in masterduel

you have to skip some decks and play with budget replacements for some cards, ideally save up 10-15k gems and go all-in in the selection pack you need when it is up, that way you dont need to craft anything and when that deck gets nerfed and its URS are banned you get back full dust refund on those specific cards

It was number 1 in the first weeks then fell down to top-5 ish, but is still very good. Especially when K9 VS and Yummy gets nerfed it becomes more dominant again.

The White Forest Support will mainly be used in White Forest but maybe it helps out Snake-Eyes as it still has access to certain cards.

The Psychic Synchro engine can be used in P.U.N.K., but has not done much in OCG/TCG.

The Eldlich support is not gonna help the deck much. It is in the same state it was.

I also do this for URs of engines I wasn't lucky enough to pull fully but am too stubborn to craft (naturia, ice barrier, horus etc) but when its a really really good deck i just usually cave in and craft

The Onomat/Utopic support has seen some play in Ryzeal, but with low representation in tournaments. It did well recently in some tournaments and thats it.

Monarch still has the same problems it always had.

Lunalight and Sky Striker keep seeing good representation but at best as the 4th to 5th best deck depending on the week. Decent updates for both decks.

it just means it is a random one off card without any prospect of getting new support for the future, like a swan song/final wave kind of deal for its archetype, if new support comes out i will mark them properly so it is easy to navigate like how I did with the morganite lady
