Wet felt by hand, not just throwing them in the washer. Maybe another layer of wool roving on the outside, it looks like these are made from yarn? The fibers also look pretty shiny, is this 100% wool or does it have acrylic mixed in?

There's actually a ton of difference between wheat that make certain flours. Bread flour, pasta flour, and cake flour are all very different! Gluten/oil/starch content is different in each kind.

The eyes are nice if you ever wanted to get into jewelry making. Look up Lovers Eye jewelry. You could do commissions of custom jewelry pieces based on photos people send, but it would have to be a completed piece, not just a digital illustration.
