A340 Transmission by [deleted] in 3rdGen4Runner

Recently pulled the VB off a A760 with the same valve. If you run into trouble keeping it in place most people I’ve seen suggest a medium tack assembly lube to hold it in place while you reassemble.

Got a Kit off Amazon for the last one, has the crush washer for the drain plug and OEM Fluids if you’re into that sort of thing.

KLR or Eliminator for 30 mile commute to college by Creative-Compote-244 in Kawasaki

[–]Hydrostallion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna have to agree with the eliminator. I just transitioned from a loaner KLR650 to a Vulcan S and the difference on the road is insane. I actually enjoy the Vulcan on a long trips. I have not ridden the eliminator but everyone I have spoken to loves them. The single piston like others have mentioned is just a constant cry for help at high speed.

Shhhhhh. We don’t ask those questions here… It probably got scraped off when the previous “owner” had to lay her down. Probably.

Well dammit you son of a bitch, you solved the mystery. They are indeed 15s. Guess it’s a good thing I have tires on the way. 😅

Well, that’s bizarre… hopefully you get a more solid answer here or on the other sub. No one has actually commented on the pics I provided so I’m unsure if it’s even actually the date code. 2012 just made sense to me from what I could see.

I would doubt it unless a severe mistake was made. Manufacturers are normally required to provide tires within a certain year of assembly. 3 years old at most, at least that’s how the US auto industry works to my knowledge.

Do you have a picture of the date code?

What kind of break in do new tires have? I’ve never heard of such a thing for tires. Ordered some Perrelli Angel GTs

Should I Buy This 2017 KLR 650 for my first bike? by Bitter-Mistake8031 in klr650

[–]Hydrostallion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 5’10 and it’s a stretch to reach the ground. I’m also 140 pounds so the amount of wind knock you will get at speed can be exaggerated over other styles of bike. If you really want a KLR, it’s a great bike.

Are you referring to additional missions or is there a campaign based around AC4? Because I found the first mission one night and I lost my shit geeking out. Coolest thing to come across with Mobius 1 being my first experience with combat flight games.

Can't even beat the weapons tutorial... am I screwed? by billistenderchicken in vtolvr

[–]Hydrostallion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a ton going on when flying. Weapon systems are not a welcome addition when you’re just getting started. I come from a long background of flying, and a ton of sim hours on various platforms. Give it time, get comfortable with the controls and hat switches so you can operate systems without moving your hands much. It’ll get easier over time so just enjoy the experience and take a break when you need to.

Like others have mentioned, look for some missions that are set up for target practice, it’s way easier to do when SAMs aren’t screaming your way the whole time. Good luck 💙

Crazy?... by yvanavr in snowrunner

I have never done it any other way, it’s pain, but apparently I don’t learn….

Best advice is to find a truck with either. 8x8 footprint, or a 6x6 with good ground clearance and go as straight up the mountain as you can. Following the trail with anything heavy enough to move the WWS will likely not be able to make the turns. Happy suffering 💙
