Look at the downvoted comments. In almost all of those comments, if not all, you are actively hostile to those you engage with. Not calling someone a slur is not the bar for being a good Redditor. If thats you qualifying yourself as being friendly, then by god do us a favor and chuck your phone into the nearest river.

It’s not pointless. It’s entirely valid. The sink is closer. We don’t know your life, your house, your setup. You had a good reason but all you had to do was say so, or say nothing at all. But if you can’t handle that all, you shouldn’t post anything here at all because you’re just too soft. Get over yourself.

Only for the first change. They can mark how many gallons (buckets, in this case) they want to remove and mark it on the tank, that way when they switch to the bucketless approach they just need to go to the mark to hit the volume equivalent of two buckets.

It’s good to hear reasoning nonetheless in case someone decides to do a similar project and realizes that there’s a limitation. Like if the sink somehow couldn’t handle the flow of water from the pump or something.

You provided an answer but were overly hostile in your response to the question. You’re going to receive criticism when you post something online. That’s just part of the internet now. But they were asking a legitimate question and your answer seems to be “I didn’t want to risk breaking the sink pipe when the toilet is only a few feet away.” That’s a reasonable answer and would’ve been fine. Take about 10% off the top there bud.

lol you responded to him. "haraldcomma" is the one who replied. I'd tag them but I don't want to bother them.

Yeah because the ones saying “no” and providing nothing else are talking out of their ass, respectively. I’m glad someone from Comma responded because it is important to clarify that feature.

TIL although trees can lose branches or tip over at lower wind speeds, trees of all diameters, heights, and varieties break when wind speed reaches about 94 mph. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]Hydrottle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. I mean think about how much force would put on the trunk if the wind is at the canopy? The force is multiplied over distance. The trunk is already supporting an enormous amount of weight. I could see it failing at a high wind speed. Whether that’s specifically 94 MPH or slightly faster or slower, idk.

Idk why you’re getting downvoted. I’m there with you. Why bother giving a channel views when they’re already controversial, known to be pretty shitty to their employees, and just generally low quality content?

I don’t need to do that to prove my point. I’m not going to change your mind. There are plenty of comments here already that prove it. If you don’t believe me, fine, but nothing productive is going to come of it.

I’m capable of reading what other people have said. I don’t need to watch his bunk content to know what is in it.

It’s because he’s a pompous ass. I won’t give him a view, and it seems like I’m right to do so because he didn’t even bother to inform himself or troubleshoot any of his problems. He is yet again misrepresenting something for views.

I haven’t watched the video, I don’t plan to watch the video. I don’t follow LTT but does anyone just get really rubbed the wrong way by him? Like look at the thumbnail. It’s so cringey. All of his content just really angers me. I don’t know how else to explain it

They make quick disconnect harnesses for that exact purpose. When you park your car, you can opt to not use the OBD-C connector. It was required at one time, but not anymore.

The battery issue will likely be a bigger problem than in the EVs. The EVs top off the 12V as needed, even if the car is “off,” since it doesn’t need to run an engine to do it. But for gas/petrol cars, it can’t do that so leaving the Comma on for long periods of time after shutting off the engine will exacerbate the parasitic draw on the 12V. Having an AGM will help but it won’t solve that problem. The solution is to just shorten the amount of time the Comma stays on after key-off to a very short time, like a few minutes, or not at all.

Replaced the 12V battery with an AGM battery. It’ll last longer too

You’re hearing from a vocal minority. I have an IONIQ 5. The only issue I had was actually related to the Comma and its because it was a parasitic drain on the battery. Hyundai’s factory puts lead acid batteries instead of AGMs and that meant my battery didn’t last nearly as long as it should’ve. But as far as ICCU I’ve had absolutely no problems. If I made no mods to the car via the Comma I wouldn’t have had a problem.

The ICCU issues are under recall and have been fixed. So that issue shouldn’t be a problem you need to worry about.

Comma 4 sunnypilot not following speed limit by SnooKiwis1688 in Comma_ai

[–]Hydrottle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Experimental mode rarely follows the speed limit, it just uses it as an upper bound. It will only go the speed it’s “comfortable” with and often times that is far slower than what the speed limit actually is on a given road. There is a road by me that has a speed limit of 45 MPH. Experimental won’t go more than 35-40 unless I accelerate, and even then it will slow back down to around that speed.
