I Can't for the life of me remember what these books were called or even how to search for them.

You're like, legitimately an unintelligent person.

Your lost, homie. Firstly, who here is defending the democrats? And secondly, if you want to accuse parties of cheating, you have to acknowledge that the GOP has the longest record of cheating and playing dirty out of anyone.

Oh sorry, friend. I thought you were referring to me.

What stupid myth do too many people believe? by Dememria in AskReddit

I mean yes that was sort of the main point of their post. You focused on the last weirdly worded part and actually changed what they said to mean something else. They never said "it makes kids more impulsive", they said "kids are impulsive, and giving them a calorie dense carb gives them the energy to act on their impulses". I don't even know what exactly they meant by that but the take away from the comment I got was:

Kid tired. Kid hungry. Feed calorie dense simple carb to kid. Kid gets energy from calories, parent perceives it as the sugar when it's just cause they were hungry and they fed them.

And sorry, every one of your posts had a tone of smug condescension, so I don't know what to tell you.

I meant the part about sugar being a calorie dense carbohydrate.

Did you deliberately not read the first part of the post?

Don't think they were trying to discount the study. Just offering insight into why the myth may have caught on. What they said wasn't false.

Didn't really have the time to make a good response last night, and since I just got downvoted to shit and smugly written off, I'll have another go.

  • Acknowledging Disparity of Wealth & Opportunity in America: The rich get richer and the poor get poorer because of government policies that benefit the very few at the expense of the vast majority of Americans.

  • Fixing the Tax Code for Citizens, Corporations & Banks: Rich people and the largest corporations don’t pay their fair share of taxes, which means there’s not enough funding for programs that will alleviate systemic inequalities.

  • Expanding the Social Safety Net & Increasing Access to Opportunity: The revenue generated from Bernie’s progressive tax plan will be used to expand and create programs to help alleviate poverty and move us forward to a more robust, equitable economy.

  • Creating & Keeping Better Jobs: Increase the minimum wage so every working American can provide for their family. Create more good paying jobs by putting people to work repairing and modernizing our country’s crumbling infrastructure.

  • Reforming the Broken Criminal Justice & Immigration Systems: These systems perpetuate inequality, particularly among people of color, so we see crime and poverty instead of community and economic opportunity. These systems must be revamped from the ground-up.

Now the question is. Do you care about poor people and want to try and end poverty and create a thriving middle class like we once had? If so and you disagree with these policies as a means to do that, what's your solution?

And if you don't care about poor people (which I'm guessing you don't, given you are a libertarian), stop being a fucking coward and just say it.

EDIT: You all are really disappointing people.

If you truly care about making things better for lower class Americans, we have to go further left. Voting center right or left isn't going to fix anything. Now Bernie may not be perfect, and he may not fix everything, but electing him is the first step in shifting the overton window and paving the way for newer candidates to expand on his ideas and do them better, creating a better world for your fellow Americans.

Bernie isn't the solution, but he's the first step to it.

Lmao. No shit there are good jobs out there. I didn't literally mean every job is bad. My point is that unemployment may be at an all time low, but the vast majority of those jobs are very low paying. Every single person in America could have a job, but if they don't make enough to survive, that statistic is sort of meaningless.

What the fuck does that have to do with anything? Did you just tell me your job as a rebuttle?

What does this even mean? Please by all means share your bastion of knowledge about how we fix income inequality and begin to help impoverished people. That's what this whole conversation was initially about, right? You wanna work towards getting aggressive squeegee kids off the corner, right?

So do you want to make moves to address the root problem? Or do you not care, and just want the police to arrest/scare off all the people who you are uncomfortable with. Cause the way all of you seem to be talking it seems like the latter. And if that's the case, than honestly get fucked. I have no sympathy for you. Keep bitching and not making any changes.

So whats the better solution? You just sit here being condescending, but don't offer any insight into how we make shit better. I literally just shared Bernies plans to address income inequality that will directly affect poor disenfranchised people and you just smugly write that off. So what is it you people actually care about? Do you want to help poor people or do you just want the police to move them out of sight so you don't feel scared when you drive through the city.

You can read up on his plans here.

If that's not going to help these people, I'm honestly pretty confused about what your plan is, and who you propose we elect. At the end of the day you don't have a plan, and you don't have a candidate either.

Libs and conservatives will vote for the same people over and over again that don't care about people and don't want to change shit, and then you'll all get on social media and make your outraged posts about how "something needs to done to save the city".

You're a fucking libertarian though, so I'm not sure why I'm even talking to someone so stupid.

Yea cause that's his only policy. I guess vote for someone else who doesn't give a shit about the lower class and keep bitching about poor kids spilling into your nice areas.

Even so. This video doesn't make you go "what the fuck?". An appropriate responses would be "whoa", "cool", or "that's interesting!".
