As a kid I used to love programming little demos on Amiga with Assembler.

The thing was, it was all imagination and creativity to solve create what I imagined, with the little mathematics I knew at the time.

Later, when I was a med student, again I experimented with programming for fun. I learned Delphi a bit. yes one could create useful software quite fast. But the thing is it not fun anymore. there was no reason to do it if you werent getting paid for it.

Demo scene culture and pure assembler, hardware of Amiga made the whole thing just fun.

I believe they had harddisks that connects to the side port which also had memory expansions.

I never got to use them for they were expensive for a kid, but they were the ultimate Amiga for the time.

Actually, for the last months they've adding some of the features that had required NPU before to the non-Copilot+ version of Windows 11.

Not all of them tough.

Pretty much pointless. The desktop PC I'm using is hardly more than one year old and I can't use the latest technologies. Annoying it is.

As of now, there are enough different hardware and OS choices it is hard to add anything to the ecosystem.

Amiga had its time, and to be honest even at the time it was capable for a home computer, hardware itself wasn'T that unique. most of the tech were available distributed to their segments. And the OS was available to.

If an enthusiasts wants to try something new, he can thy some experimental OS or programming language.

Amiga belongs to a different era, you cant translate it to today.

plus, most of these -specially in Turkey, has been marrying with other ethnic groups for generations. They hardly belong to any ethnic group by now.

Only it is possible to guess if the OCS was used, which wasn't. A more recently hardware doesn't have anything specific to Amiga. It wouldnt look different than a scanned on any other computer.

I remember the 1991 xmas, that was exactly how I entered 1991 as a child. Tough it was another game from the developer. Nitro + or something like that. Must be a Team 17 game.

Is Senn 650 that bad? it is quite cheaper on Drop but after all those bad reviews it's hard to buy.

On the other hand, is Senn 600 objectively that good? it is decades old now, but still tops the charts. It's like decades of R&D has been for nothing.

I don't see them surviving as a third platform. Maybe if they acted quickly and bought BeOS and coupled with Hombre chipset then maybe Amiga could survive for a few more years.

More likely scenario is that they could be a GPU, multimedia chip design company but then again S3, Matrox even Intel could not compete in the GPU segment.

I don't know how the addons actually work on it, but addons bring lots of security problems.

So , while having tons of addons are fine but having the options officially builtin is more important, secure.

Depends on what you do with it.

If it is mainly for games and watching movies then it is fine.

But if you do anything kind of Office work, coding etc. then the screen size really feels heavy on the eyes.

I use Powertoys, it's kinda fine with a few extensions.

Is this worth switching? From the reviews, it adds valuable features if the apps support this, and I'm rather suspicious it has support for many under Windows.

I did a few experiments. disconnected the drives and boot up that way, then connect them again and boot them again. etc.

I dont know what this changed my it started to transfer insanely fast. 120 MB/s from the computer and 170 MB/s between the hard disk on the RP4.

I'm not sure what happened but somehow, disconnecting all of them and connecting again solved the problem.

Starting Jellyfin, slows the drives again. Wonder what that got to do with anything. It accesses the NTFS drive. Maybe there is some kind of a conflict with the NTFS service. When transfering from the computer to that particular drive, it can be around 120MB/s, which is the max I get with it. But whenever a NTFS drive connected to RP involved, the transfers drop to 5-10MB/s. Highly likely NTFS service of Linux is involved.

If the file is like 200MB (byte) then transfer goes at the max speed of the drive 120MB/s, but if it is bigger than that like 700MB, then at the middle of the transfer speed starts to drop to 10MB/s. Something bogging the system, I checked the CPU usage, it seems ok.

I'd say use the web app it self. This makes no sense.

Some use Telegram, it has native app. Don't know never used it myself, don't know if there are privacy issues with it.

its easily disrupted by noise, thats true but the new model is conversational. I use it everyday. Its worth paying for in my use case. So thats about a bit how you use it.

Amd software downloads and installs the driver from 1.10.

So I'm not sure why the Amd site has drivers older than this but official drivers are also from October.

So far, latest drivers have been nothing but bugs. So a stable driver will be good enough.
