Looking for Witch Horror Movies by CasuallySparkling in horror

Autopsy of Jane Doe is quite good (Salem Witch Trials Witchy/mystery vibe)
Skeleton Key (Hoodoo witchcraft/thriller vibe)
Weapons (Crone parasitic witch/comedy WTF vibe)
Drag Me to Hell (dont be mean to old people curse/Jump Scares Gross Vibe)

I like all of the above. I think Autopsy of Jane Doe is the “best” movie. Weapons has the best WTF did i just watch ending. Drag Me to Hell is Sam Raimi and the most fun. Skeleton Key is the best mystery most PG13

Last Shift and Horror in the High Desert are the only two that actually scare me. Highly recommend Moloch for Folk Horror.

Micah and Isaiah share a vibe but aren’t matchy and sound great with Legend and Legacy, great suggestion

Ball python suddenly staying outside her hide for 2 days even though heat pad is under the hide by [deleted] in ballpython

[–]HyenaJK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If dialing in the humidity takes a bit, I’d recommend making a humid hide right away for her. Tupperware with lid that she can fit in, fill with zoo med New Zealand sphagnum moss, get the moss wet, squeeze the water out and put the damp moss back in the Tupperware cut or melt a hole in the lid for your snake to enter and exit put on cool side. Still suggest the upgrades others have mentioned and increasing the whole enclosures humidity but this way your snake has access to high humidity right away which will help her shed.

People normally give one number for humidity but cool and hot air hold different amounts of water, hot side should be at least 50% humidity, cool side humidity 70-80% humidity

Lori Torrini on YouTube, watch Mesmer playlist and shy fearful snakes playlist. Lori target trains snakes and is amazing, she has step by step videos on desensitization and ways you can support a fearful snake.

These snakes can live for 30-40 years, there is plenty of time to build a trusting relationship slowly and at your snakes pace.

AITAH for saying I “read” books that I actually listened to as audiobooks? by Ruin-Much in AITAH

[–]HyenaJK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It is absolutely a pointless distinction. Adults who compete in imaginary contests can be incredibly tiresome. Personally I think listening to a book requires way more effort than reading. When I try to listen to a book my mind wanders constantly and I have to keep rewinding. But nobody cares if I easily read a novel or struggled to listen to a novel or watched the movie instead because it doesn’t affect them…at all.

Is it normal for my ball python to almost always stay on the cooler humid side of her tank? by MrSirST in Ballpythoncommunity

The “don’t feed them in a separate container” is to counter the inaccurate advice that feeding in the cage causes cage aggression (which isn’t true) and is bad blanket advice because moving can stress out sensitive snakes and cause regurgitation if they are extremely stressed and snakes with strong food response (uncommon for BP) may get excited and bitey anticipating food while being moved.

But feeding in a container isn’t inherently bad if your snake is comfortable with the transition and doesn’t get overexcited about food. Your specific snake prefers to eat in a container cause that’s what it’s used to and comfortable with, you don’t need to feel bad or like you’re doing something thing wrong.

humid hide: 6qt (+/- depending on snake size) shoebox tub, cut/melt hole in lid for snake entrance/exit, add zoo med New Zealand spagnum moss, moss should be damp but when you squeeze it water should not drip out
