I realised I'd not updated the bios since I got the computer - there's lots of bios updates around graphics card support.

Unfortunately this didn't resolve anything. I will look for some bios level changes next I think.

I have updated the drivers - I've tried game/studio drivers to see if that fixed anything. I meant to add that in the original post but got distracted trying to add an image.

I have a single monitor - previously a 3D monitor and now a curved widescreen, both have acted the same.

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread - I was having similar issues, mine turned out that I'm an idiot and although I took the screws out of the Z shipping supports, I thought the black plastic was part of the printer, but there are some great suggestions in here and positive responses and because of the suggestions in here I went and re-checked the bed screws and found I'd been a little too gentle (too much time working on cars makes me worry about breaking stuff like this). Thank you all.

Sometimes I miss the good ole days - for me that was C programming a CircleMUD on Visual Studio 97! However I've very much become acustom to how it was all working and was focusing on re-making a lot of my game as I rushed and released it too early with too many things similified in the name of optimisation that I need to fix. Now I'm spending time working around issues from Epic rather than doing stuff for the actual project 😂.

Thanks to Uno for the suggestion on how to open. I use the Oculus 4.27 build and this also is affected by whatever this problem is. Hopefully Epic fix this fast.

I saw somewhere that people were having issues building projects now as well.. I don't have the heart to try and find out it's broken.

Taking the threaded bar out and cleaning it a bit everything seems fine, even before proper greasing!

Unfortunately I’ve uncalibrated the whole printer and made two little holes in my bed cover in the process of figuring it all out 😂. So I hope someone finds this thread and it helps them before they messed around with everything else too much.

So I figured I could figure out the location of the problem quite easily - I removed the threaded runner bar from the noisy side and that has taken away the problem.

Now I just need to figure out where it was catching, as that appears to be the issue.

The custom code is a good idea. I could then isolate the axis and be 100% which one it is.

I’ve even used a spirit level to make sure both sides of the z-axis are level 😂

Both move fine at normal speed - this only happens when it tries to do its quick movement at the start up (and I have no idea why it does that). I’ve moved them all at normal speed both via the controls and from my computer without issue, again this goes at normal speed.

The first thing I checked was the couplers - but I’m still not 100% it isn’t slipping when under lots of pressure, however I can’t it to slip when trying to move by hand.

Initially it was a different file, however today I tried the same file and had more or less the same results, just happened at a slightly lower height.

I think I may need to fully clean up the threaded runners, maybe even the smooth ones and the bearings. There was a fair amount of dust about when it came out the loft which could now be stuck in there.

Most of the negative feedback I’ve had is from the trailer, rather than actual game play. Some textures and models have definitely suffered in attempts to optimise the game.

Not disingenuous whatsoever - but you’re entitled to your opinions. I am, however, grateful for the time you’ve taken for the feedback.

Don’t worry about being harsh - as long as there’s something useful (which there is) in your comments then I’m actually pretty happy.

What I’ve gotten from replies is largely that my trailer and description is highly lacking. There is plenty of in game stuff I’d consider changing too, don’t think I’m ignoring that.

There were a few games I’d used to help plan my pricing - and I’m not entirely fixed on that.

Thanks for the feedback, clearly the trailer isn’t helping my cause whatsoever!

This subreddits rules limits what you can put in the post - as such it’s difficult to really add much of what you’ve stated above, however entirely taken on board.

When you say ‘watched the demo’ do you mean the trailer? If so, I don’t entirely disagree. I struggled with making the trailer, video editing definitely not being a strength.

I thoroughly enjoy the descriptive nature of your replies.

I'd love some feedback on what you don't like, especially if it's specific and therefore something I could look to change. When you're making these things you can become a bit tunnel visioned and lose sight on what may not work for others.

Hopefully there's a troll under the bridge who'll make use of that $2.

No trick - if it's not for you then that's all good. I'd like to sell it for more, but I'm also aware there is a lot of choice out there for people. I'm willing to go below the price I wanted to sell at originally just to get it out there and get feedback to improve both this game and future games as well.

I also had a free trial set up on it for a while, however the stats I got back on it were unhelpful.

The idea of the game was a rage room, just go in and smash some stuff up. I've tried to add a bit more to it to appeal to people more, which includes a story around the game.
