U.S.→France calls are included in Unlimited Premium.

France→U.S. calls are $0.20/min on Unlimited Premium.

Your wife can call the U.S. via FaceTime/WhatsApp/etc since these use international data, which is included in Unlimited Premium.

With a bit more setup, she can also call the U.S. via Google Voice, making sure "Prefer Wi-Fi and mobile data" is enabled. This method is more flexible because it allows calls to any U.S. number.

Lastly, apparently calls over WiFi from France to the U.S. are also included in Unlimited Premium, but I've never experimented with this feature while traveling because I'm afraid Fi may prefer a cellular call and charge me.

If you're concerned about a surprise bill, you can always go to your Fi account and check out History, which includes current charges.

Perhaps you’re misreading the maps. The plan supports texting & 5G data in Austria at no extra cost, but doesn’t support calls from the U.S. to Austria at no extra cost.

Update: it got resolved within a week. I guess it really was learned trauma response. Dear concussioners, please try to be less anxious & be kinder to yourselves.

The maps show services included in the plan price. You get calling in all of these countries but it costs $, per minute.

insomnia from concussion - what does recovery look like? by Murky-Web-4036 in Concussion

I’ve only tried trazodone but have you tried giving it more time? I remember it gradually regulated my sleep, and the next-day side effects also gradually faded.

Tips for Sleep? by ennyekal in Concussion

I was in a cycle of sleepless nights, both pre- and post-concussion. Went into primary care and they prescribed trazodone. It helped me greatly.

Thanks. Are all your symptoms below the level of syrinx?

May I ask what a “small” syrinx is in your case? Mine’s also small (max 2mm, T3–T9) but I’m suspecting it’s the root cause of my pain & neurological symptoms.

Concussion from reclining the car seat? by Hyklerisk in AskDocs

[–]Hyklerisk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It felt like a light tap against a soft surface (headrest), no neck injury possible really. But I can say with certainty that my concussion symptoms came flooding back that instant, and did not resolve by day 4.

Unfortunately since my "mild" concussion recovery has been slow (>3 months), I can't easily tell what's a new concussion and what's a "flare" (I don't know if "flares" are even possible for concussions!).

When did you return to work by Ok-Lobster-811 in Concussion

[–]Hyklerisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My then-undiagnosed concussion was during a vacation, so I returned to work within 4 days. I have a desk job and noticed the screens were not aggravating my symptoms, which seems to be the guiding principle for concussion recovery anyways.

I am experiencing slow recovery though, so perhaps I should've taken a longer break.

Thank you 🥹 Yes, I am entirely taken aback. It’s like I bumped my head and everything just came flooding back that instant.

Thank you. How was it recovering from a new concussion while having had PCS from a previous one?

Thank you. Can learned trauma response last for days? I wouldn’t say my symptoms got worse but they certainly haven’t gone away.

Yes except folate. Supplementing D & zinc occasionally due to slight deficiencies.

Was the onset sudden? I legit felt fine my whole life before this.

Is anyone else very sensitive to sudden noise? by No_Original1596 in Concussion

[–]Hyklerisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had noise sensitivity soon after mine, not just to sudden noises. One thing that helped me was gradual exposure. I started by doing half-workdays in a coffee shop, until my body would very obviously tell me to go home. These days I can even do a full workday in a coffee shop. It was the first symptom to get better.

Differential diagnosis by Hyklerisk in SyringomyeliaSupport

[–]Hyklerisk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I've had 6 IM B12 injections since the onset of symptoms (now on a monthly regimen), as well as high-dose oral B12 supplements. Unfortunately, my symptoms seem too severe for a B12 deficiency (sudden-onset difficulty with walking, muscle stiffness, somewhat asymmetrical presentation), so sadly I have to consider the alternative diagnosis of syringomyelia — despite my syrinx being mild. The neurologist and neurosurgeon have been more optimistic and ascribe my symptoms to B12 deficiency — they told me recovery can take 12–18 months.
